  1. Sounds like the starter be did is not engaging, is the engine spinning?
  2. Most body shops won't warranty any rust repair, as most rust starts on the inside of the panel, and by the time you see it on the outside it is a hole that must be cut out. If the repair isn't sealed from water and air from the back, it will rust again quickly. Paint and body work isn't inexpensive, and rust repair can be difficult because typically most of the damage is hidden, and it can be difficult to understand the full extent of the damage by a visual inspection. It has to be fully taken care of, and done correctly if expected to last , especially on a white truck. Call Kevin Clifford, or Marty at lane and Kenny body shop, but again most shops don't enjoy working on rust in any form.
  3. Fair enough, thank you for the reply , I appreciate it.
  4. Well considering the thread is specifically about detailing, and people have come on here to answer this question, but have been edited. As far as I am concerned Albert Einstien was discussing his theory of relativity , and his post was edited. If it were Geeto talking about common sense or something like that , then no I certainly wouldn't care.
  5. I personally respect Andys opinion, especially when it comes to detailing. Apparently some do not respect his response to the question about detailers in Columbus. I am pretty sure that nothing rude, racist, or threatening was typed in Andys post, nor do I think that his post was that short. I believe what has been said here is that the door is hitting all in the ass. You probably will never know, but I am sure that people like Andy will be less willing to share their opinion and time, just to be edited.
  6. This forum is run like a dictatorship, edited throughout.
  7. If it is just the inside, Jack at the wheel medic, probably can fix it without refinishing the outside. There is a new painter at the wheel medic.
  8. $300 here $75 there, $400 there, it adds up rather quickly. One of the things about the eBay $230 front sump pan that I just used is that the pickup is shit, and you will more than likely have an extra $100 in fittings for the remote filter. By looking at the baffle and cabinet hinge for the "trap" door, I can't see it being too good for any sub 1.7 or so 60' times without oil starvation. The Gto pan has much abetter baffle system, and built in filter. But hey, silly me, what do I know?
  9. probably best to get over the hate of spending money on this journey. I have completed over 20 of these swaps. A realistic budget, or a fat wallet, and sometimes both is what is needed.
  10. You personally need to stay away from guns, nothing good can come from you having a gun in your possession.
  11. $385 new for the pan, then pickup and tray, may be cheaper to buy new. Or you can buy the EBay front sump pan for $230 and I will give you a remote filter housing for free.
  12. Looks like I was wrong, $450 for a GTO pan and tray and pickup on EBay. convert the rear steer on the car to a front rack and pinion, and modify the truck pan and pickup. I remember someone saying something about the possibility that the rear steer may be a problem, especially for a drag car with a front sump pan?
  13. No they are hard to find, especially on a budget. $300 to $350. You could go get a $230 speed master one, and spend another $80 to 100 on a remote filter housing. Been there done that, more than once.
  14. Like the original intent of this thread, which has been updated to what you have provided to this world Doesn't look like much.
  15. Just an opinion, and now that I have seen your work for 45 seconds, I can certainly say that I am not impressed. Maybe you should push yourself a bit harder. Bolting a set of wheels, and a bumper on in 20 years time to a jeep is not impressive. I would guess that the rest of your life follows the same overachievement in your head, less than average real world time. You are certainly an Internet dreamer.
  16. And by the looks of his 20 year old jeep "project" he pretty much thinks highly of his underachievement. I can't wait to see what the next 20 years brings for this project in the project management section. Maybe an electric blower, and magnetic fuel saver. What was that Antonin stated about good people having bad ideas?
  17. To post up the original intent of your assinine existence, doofus.
  18. Go somewhere else, or do it yourself. They probably don't enjoy working on your old junk anyway.
  19. A few years ago with scrap at over $200 per ton, yes that would be the case. Now it is about 2 cents a pound. If it is stripped, and an older car that has no value, then it won't bring any parts money for the yard. It may weigh 1500 lbs, so the question is do you think a recycler will pay a tow truck driver to come to your house and pick up your junk for possibly $30?
  20. Since the price of scrap is so low, I am not surethat you will get it towed away without paying for that service. If someone does tow it, they will most likely need a title, and probably in your name. The craigslist deal may be good for you, maybe somebody will come pick it up for free. I would guess that Edison or other scrap places would pick it up for a fee with the title in your name of course. Cutting it up is messy and time consuming and sawzall blades are not cheap.
  21. take it to the shredder off of Frank rd. You must have a title, Edison will also take it with a title. If you don't have a title in your name you may be in a pickle, and will have to do something else. Do you have the title in your name?
  22. Product liability has taken your dollar, and will continue to do so until there is a perfect world in lawyers eyes. I have a GM recall because if I put too many things on my keychain, it may be too heavy for the ignition and turn the car off locking the steering wheel. Is it too difficult to remove the 26 reward cards and 4 OSU trinkets from your keychain?
  23. Sorry, not very good business practice to neither answer the phone or have voice mail.
