16 oz is a shit ton of coffee! My 'perfect' tumbler came from Meijer, it was $6 and is all ABS plastic, with a solid seal lid and flip top with grommet to close the drink hole. Heat is conserved quite well. It holds about 12 oz, and has a slip-proof all rubber bottom. Why the hell am I fascinated with cups? God, I'm old.

I am going to be generous and assume all the commends on my joke, were jokes. And, am I seriously the only one who wondered how he rode in a cab all the way from pennsylvania to california? Seriously. It's bugged me for like a decade.

So let me get this straight. You took a cab from Philadelphia, all the way to Bel Air? I'm not sure if I believe that.

It's trivial to make an acct that accepts incoming payments, however you will then get billed for all transactions, in AND out (unless there have been changes to their policy recently). As such, what most do is maintain two accounts, one specifically for incoming payments.

DVI to HDMI for PC use. VGA? I think I remember my grandpa talking about that once...

Can anyone suggest a cheap, dual DVI, PCI graphics card?

There is a free to download test DVD available here: http://www.tvblink.com/ It doesn't take the place of a true calibration DVD with a set of color filters and guide, but it does offer several patterns to test and tune your TV with.

Traffic Light Changer - Change all lights for $299.99

These are two completely different things, and often both are used. The field loops, which aren't really pads, detect a car by sensing an interruption in the magnetic field and can adjust the normal signal sequence accordingly. A preemption receiver, installed on most busy intersections, allows emergency vehicles with a transmitter to override any sequence and get an immediate green light. Not that it makes any difference to us, given the contraband nature of using such a transmitter. It's a wonder more people don't abuse this though, it's been in use for a long time and is relatively easy to implement if you have basic electronics knowledge. -
I don't think a surgical procedure on a fairly important part *inside* your body is something you want to skimp $50 on, but that's just me...

HDMI cables? I missed that on the first pass. Monoprice.com is your friend, they have certified, in-wall capable cables at a fraction of the cost of retail stores. Also, HDMI carries digital audio along with the video, so you don't need a separate coax or optical audio line to get pristine sound. HDMI is well worth the investment (just spend your money at a place like monoprice, and NOT best buy or circuit city).

Does anyone stick them inside entertainment center cabinets without much ventilation? Heat is the only thing I can think of that would cause such a high failure rate, and those little gadgets do generate a LOT of heat. My experience with the standard digital PVR is that it works great so long as your cable line is securely attached. Ours has worked well for over a year, only an occasional problem every few months where the guide displays funny, I turn it off and back on and it's fine.

For a cheap fix, get a coax splitter and put it in before the cable box, then run a line into your TV's antenna/cable input. This will let you tune QAM (assuming your TV supports it) so you can watch the local OTA channels in HD by tuning them in with the TV. Then, go get an HD box from your cable co, preferably one with HDMI output.

I saw the saddest thing I have seen in a long time

The plus side out of this (if you want to call it that) is that at least they caught the sorry MFer who did it. I am sorry for her loss, make no mistake, but so many violent crimes go unsolved every day that its good to hear about one getting properly prosecuted. -
I have found the online services of Chase to be as good or better than any other bank I have experienced, but I don't have my mortgage though them so maybe that dept. is different and full of suck. If there really is a fee unless you mail a paper check, I would just set up an auto bill pay at your current bank (which actually sends a paper check, or processes it electronically in a way analogous to a paper check) and you can skirt the fees, if your bank doesn't charge for that (chase checking doesn't charge for check mailing bill-pay FWIW).

Yeah, don't get run over!

Tip 1: Do it FAR FAR away from your house and anything else flammable Tip 2 (that i'm surprised no one else mentioned): If it's a very cold day, prepare to have to heat the propane tank up in order to keep it flowing properly. A bucket of hot water works well for this. If you get a cheap turkey fryer with a touchy regulator, this will become a requirement in order to keep the oil hot enough.

He is damn lucky they were found with a sack of cash... if the guys were just vagrants passing through and didn't actually take anything he would be in for some trouble. That being said, I can only hope Ohio will sooner or later wise up and allow such pro-active self defense, we may not have the outrageous theft rates we now enjoy.

Since SSL isn't a requirement for most web pages, are you even trying to view a SSL encrypted page? Sounds like a HAX to me, if it happened all of a sudden out of the blue...

Didn't he go down for skirting MILLIONS of dollars of taxes by funneling money off-shore? Not that I want to make this a political issue, but he does business in the US and he should pay taxes in the US. On top of that, he makes his money by exploiting women, (I don't care if you are a guy or a girl, this is exploitation by the book) and as a result he is the subject of prosecution. He's a criminal, end of story, let him rot in jail. Sucks that he found a jurisdiction that won't put up with his shit, but such is life. He should have run a legit porn company like the rest of the law abiding and consequently *not in jail* smut dealers in the US.

Well, at least for $33k it's getting good customer reviews.

63" of Philips plasma goodness is now under $3,000 at Sam's club (only 720p tho)... $33,000 for another 7 inches and a few more pixels doesn't quite tempt me. Oh and btw, this ' means feet, this " means inches. -
If I had a dollar for every dog I've met named Brutus... Woody is a bit more original but it's going to be hard to avoid strange looks from parents with kids, when you're saying 'oh its ok to pet Woody'.

In my experience with retail, if there is a chargeback to the processor, such as in the case of fraud, they demand proof of a proper charge from the merchant, which would be a valid signature. They don't just roll over and eat the charge, or else merchants would have no motivation to even try to authenticate cardholders.
-
The fraudulent charges are charged back to the retail POS since they are tasked with authorizing the charge. You are not liable for any more than $50 of the charges, and in most cases you can get it down to $0. Cancel the card, file a police report, mail the report to the CC company, wait 1 month, wipe hands, resume life as usual. You may want to do some investigating while you're at it, to make sure they (the thieves) didn't arrange for a second card to be mailed out and then intercept it from your mailbox. It's not as likely but it does happen, most identity theft happens the old fashioned way (dumpster diving and mailbox theft).

Its just a shame there werent enough petitions for the vote to actually mean anything. That's right, vote your heart out but the titties go away at midnight.
