QFT. I had a friend try to get me in on this. I knew from about 2 minutes into the pitch, when they were still describing all the awesome things you can spend your riches on and dodging the question of where the money actually came from, that it was a bad idea. If you can make this work for you then great, and if you are the type of person who makes new friends easily it can be a lucrative line of work. For someone who has a small number of close friends that they don't want to chase away with this stuff, don't bother!

This was the same thing I thought of, since it even has the 'Hyundai of Bel Air' plate trim on it. Isn't that where the fresh prince buys all his fly rides from? That, OR, the guy is caught up in a divorce and fooled his ex into thinking it's an Elantra with a sticker value of about 12k.

"Anymore"? Did you just use it for drag racing? It looks pretty clean, I am just curious if you did what the times were. I am only slightly interested in looking at a(nother) bike at this point, but I know some others interested in a decent 600+ bike.

“The slightest mistake would have been disastrous for not only him but those in the area as well” Was he carrying a load of VX nerve gas, or maybe some ebola? Sensationalizing every little story doesn't happen by itself though, does it?

It wasn't me and I can't condone riding like a retard, but come down a notch or two! On a sportbike, any time you get on/off the throttle it will look like you are flashing the brights to any driver in front of you, since the bike will angle back under acceleration. The guy was probably just bored from being stuck behind cagers all day, it's not like he had it out for you specifically.

get caught street racing in cali and...
jeffmeden replied to Stallion Motorsports1647545491's topic in Dumpster
All of the cars were caught with stolen parts, it's not like any car they pull over for speeding or suspected racing heads straight to the crusher. It's debatable, but they have legal authority to seize the whole car and do what they please with it. Except, of course, for the guy whose VIN plate 'fell off'... I am sure that car was legit... -
Either way you go, $2500 won't get you a bike you will want to keep for very long. It will get you at best, a decent shape newer 500, or a beater of a 600 sportbike. Even if you find a steal on a decent 600, expect to pay around $4k. For the big picture, the GS500 specs are: Dry Weight: 169 kg (373 lbs) Engine type: Air-cooled 487 cc inline-2, DOHC, 4 valves. 52 hp @ 9,200 rpm. While not the fastest bike, this is enough to learn on and it's still faster than a lot of cars, running a mid 13 quarter. Oh, and you ought to be changing the oil more often that once every 15k mi. ;-)

Is that Nicole Riche dressed as a cop in the front of that cruiser? I bet this is just a stunt for the next riveting season of 'The Simple Life'...

I would +1 the starter bike idea. Learning on a 600, 1000, 1400 can be done, you are just a lot more likely to screw up and hurt yourself and your expensive bike. Get a cheap bike, start slow, don't give it up for at least 6 months and you will be a much better rider when you do move on to a faster, lighter bike.

Franklin county just went into a firewood quarantine, due to movement of the Emerald ash borer which is a very destructive bug that gets around in the bark of cut wood. So, as always, be careful where you get/take your wood! Fine is $2000 or something, if I recall. edit: heres a link for anyone more curious http://www.columbusdispatch.com/dispatch/content/local_news/stories/2007/05/18/ashborer_web.html and from this site: http://wood.osu.edu/hort/EAB.htm "Violators of any of these quarantines in Ohio are subject to a $4000.00 fine plus litigation fees." Don't get caught with your pants down on this wood issue! (ok sorry last dick/fart joke out of me)

The S2 has an adjustable white balance which can take care of annoying color highlighting, try playing with the different settings for indoor light like incandescent and fluorescent, or go all out and get a gray white-balance card and set it manually when you shoot indoors or in any sort of artificial light.

Some people pay to have recyclables taken away? Kudos to your environmental consciousness, thats more than I can bring myself to do. On that note, if people are willing to pay for it there's got to be a business model ripe for hobo-sploitation. Why not offer the guy half of the fee, in exchange for taking it all away and doing whatever he wants with it. The problem with people lifting cans from bins in areas that provide it for free is that the 'easy money' that aluminum brings in keeps their service going. When all they collect is just newspaper and milk jugs, they will have to start charging too.

As an avid casual photographer the most important thing I can recommend to consider is one thing people overlook all the time, the physical size of the camera! Larger/heavier/fragile-er cameras will become a nuisance as they hang around your neck all day, especially if you don't take a LOT of pictures to make it worth your trouble. So ask yourself, what kind of picture taker are you? If you take a lot of pictures for the sake of experimenting and finding unique shots, get a larger body camera such as the Canon S3, it will offer image quality that small profile cameras can't touch, but won't fit in your pocket by any stretch. If you want something that will slip in and out of your pocket and you prefer taking 'opportunity' shots, get a slim camera like the fuji f20. I can't afford much, but I keep and use two cameras all the time. Currently one is a Canon S330 that's small and indestructible, and the other is a Canon S2 IS which has a full body and takes outstanding pics but is still easy to use and affordable.

So inside there is no air blowing? Is the evaporator unit getting cold? Fan relays go bad on occasion...

They are out on Hayden Run road just past cosgray. At the moment, the west and south sides of that intersection are closed, so the quickest way to get there is to go out Cemetery rd to scioto-darby, and up cosgray to baldwin, around the corner, left on hayden run and out about another half mile.

+1 for Arrow/Aero radiator in Hilliard, they are quick, well priced and do exactly what you ask. I haven't had them do anything fancy though, so I can't comment on their y-welds or downpipe bending...

Be careful what you do with company computers, many people have been let go for using distributed computing apps like this without permission. If you work for a large company, I wouldn't even think about it until you see a company-wide memo saying 'please use folding@home coz its supr cooooollll!!!!' f.w.i.w.

It is important to remember... oh hell, who am I kidding? This shit isn't important at all. Anyway, it's important to remember that this is just ONE key used in the AACS system that protects HD-DVD, and all future dvd releases will simply exclude this key. Hence, any decoder using this key will be broken. What does this mean? If the dvd player they pulled this key out of was the one you bought, you now own a future-proof paperweight. In the long run, it will mean players will have to incorporate more expensive means of protecting their decryption system, and thus will cost more to purchase. The loser? consumers, of course.

it's 70+ degrees again, and more squids are out, with even less gear on. Here's the way to find a squid (as if there werent enough ways): Both feet down when stopping... both feet down when rolling away from light... both feet down when shifting into second... I want to tell them to get some damn training wheels and go back to their parents driveway til they figure out how to ride. It's a disgrace to sportbikers, ride with your feet up or get a tricycle! /flame on //rides alone, feet up, gear on, slow, ///til i get to the twisties

Just a reminder: Food poisoning leading to gastroenteritis can take anywhere from 12-24 hours to set in. Just because the last thing you ate could have been nasty (b-dubs...) doesn't in any way mean it was definitely the culprit. The last time I came down with this, it wasn't due to anything I ate that day, it was the work lunch the day before, which several other people got sick from as well. Just food for thought (pun!... sorry).

The thing to watch out for is whether 1:40pm is the departure time or the boarding time (30 min before departure). You have to check your bags no less than 30 min before boarding time, aka 1 hour before departure, in order to avoid extreme hassle. At port columbus the only time the security line is long is during commuter hours (early morning weekdays, evenings on weekends). CMH has seen too much of me...

Doing your own meter read is always the way to go when its a suspiciously high figure. Also I can +1 that utils for feb were through the roof, it was much colder and it hit me right in the wallet. Gas usage at my place doubled from Jan to Feb... ouch!

(ducking with all the others to let it go over my head) But why would the *other* one steal your wallet, the girl giving you oral would be right there to pick your pocket wouldn't she? If you left your wallet in the back seat its your fault and you deserve exactly what you got!!!!!11 in all seriousness tho, hilarious! :funny:

Is the Dayton aviation museum different from the Air Force museum at wright-patt? I've been to the AF Museum several times, its free (donations welcome) and the variety of planes they have is awe-inspiring.
