  1. There was a E30 cark that showed up at Pick'N'Pull on a semi-regular basis. Not sure if it was based off of a 4-door sedan or a wagon...the guy did a pretty good job on it, not just a "weld in the rear doors", he actually did the metal work to make it like an El Camino, with a functional bed.
  2. When C&E starts banning the idiots who continuously commit utterly idiotic acts from their shows, I'll consider attending one again. Couldn't care less about sniperbabes either...trigger discipline tells the tale there.
  3. Even if I wanted the truck, I'd never give money to somebody who uses that font. :gtfo:
  4. Look around the drivers door handle...betcha they pushed the trim.
  5. They are DAMN fun with high-number birdshot or dust shells...stand back 25 feet and turn a 12in Shoot-N-See into solid green. There is a carbine version that may be more useful.
  6. From what has come out so far, it looks like the management and crew aren't going to change.
  7. Nah, it's probably a case of "Parents failed to plop the kids in front of the TV all day rather than actually raise them." It's increasingly uncommon these days...
  8. Rear suspension pieces and mounts are really prone to rust...to the tune of "Hey, didn't I have a wheel and suspension attached here before all the spinning and slamming into things?"
  9. That raises an eyebrow...wonder if they kept the fishing hatch? That would be COOL...
  10. Csaba Csere had a column on the "cylinder count" game way back when...he came up with something like 80ish for himself. Unfortunately, he was playing against Jack Roush, who almost topped Csaba out with just his AIRCRAFT, let alone cars..."It really helps your total when you own multiple P-51s." And then John Travolta got in it, nearly topping Roush out with just ONE of his planes....(Travolta owns a Lockheed Constellation, with 4 Wright R-3350s with 18 cylinders each.) No idea who has the most...Leno has several hundred, maybe over a thousand. Locally, Len Immke, Dave Gill, and Dave Thomas had extensive car collections. But I'll take odds on the Sultan of Brunei....the collection reportedly runs to "several THOUSAND" cars.
  11. Exactly. Hence Aston Martin will be selling a rebdaged Toyota iQ as the Cygnet: http://motorcrave.frsucrave.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Aston-Martin-Cygnet1.jpg Yeah, that's not appealing AT ALL.
  12. Betcha there is a freeze plug of that size available from Autozone...you'll probably need to get a counter guy who is familiar with their paper catalogs to find it though.
  13. Perhaps, however, they are not good for property values.
  14. Isn't there a Rax right by Eastland? On Refugee, across from the Kroger? Or is it gone now? Shit, I'm still missing Burger Chef. That place had AWESOME burgers. Yes, I know they got turned into Hardee's and some of the food was "adapted" to new recipes...the burgers are NOT the same, dammit.
  15. The only kits I've seen have for full-length 1911s and Springfield XDs. A compensator and heavier spring are pretty much required. They specifically state that the cartridge is unsuitable for any Glock or Beretta. I've been sort-of considering it for my XD, but it'd pretty much render the pistol a range toy.
  16. To be fair, it is a fairly difficult piece of music to sing. But a professional singer shouldn't have trouble with it, given even a smidgen of talent and some practice. But Christina Aguilera isn't a SINGER, she's a "vocal artist"...whatever the fuck that means. Honestly, I blame Whitney Houstons cover of "I Will Always Love You" from the early 90s for the state of pop music....actually being able to SING has been supplanted by studio magic and slathering a note with vibrato until it is a damn CHORD.
  17. Fixed...what the hell kind of idiot thinks having your hand in FRONT of the muzzle of a firearm is a good idea?
  18. You can do this on the cheap right here in Columbus...well sorta. Just go to Sharon Woods, act like you have Cheerios, and then grab the deer when they stroll up. Bambi will put up much more of a fight than you would expect... We have Canada geese all over the lawn at work...I catch one or two of them a month just to show people how easy it is.
  19. I was looking at that and wondering why the hell somebody would put a chute on a road course car...sure, you'd be able to go DEEP into the first corner, but after that...
  20. Oh, now THOSE are some damn weaselly words right there..."other protruding parts" can mean damn near anything.

  22. I've done the dishwasher route...but I wouldn't do it again. Removing cosmo from metal is easy...any number of products will work, brake cleaner is good enough. But wood is difficult since it soaks into the grain. The best way I've found to get cosmo out of wood is heat...wrap the stock in paper towels, shove it in a black garbage bag, and leave it in the sun during summertime. Since it isn't summer now, maybe find which of your heating ducts gets warmest and leave it in there for a couple days?
