  1. 16 or 17 inch rims and are they 5 or 6 lug????
  2. rated on 15 or 20% fuel? and what truck?? I know there are some big bores out mow that fit where a .15 would bolt in but I haven't heard *** specifics about all that so I don't even have a guess as to wht you are putting this in.
  3. Well, the midmount plate that is in the truck mounts between the tranny and the engine. as far as front mount, on chevy motors there are mount points in line with the crank that can be drilled and tapped if they haven't been already. If you run a full front plate, it will also use the water pump mount bolts. You will need to make a spacer for the crank pulley the same thickness as the mount plate. That will get everything in line.
  4. I have an idea for a spook Trojan Rubber commercial but without animation it's just not as funny. premiss is Trojan's new Skank shield condom. Goes Pretty much like this some dude and a snaggle tooth chick making out Show Trojan Man and do the TROJAN MAN! thing. TM: Slow down there, don't you think your forgetting something? Dude: Like what? TM: (holds up condoms) Trojans NEW skank Shield Condom. Snaggle Tooth: Who you calling a skank? TM: (now holding a metal detector looking thing to snaggle tooth's crotch, meter pins, display shows WOW and a biohazard symbol) "Dude, this STD detectors says this thing has more crotch critters than the toliet in a free clinic! This ain't gonna give you an itch you can't scratch, it's gonna make your thing fall off." (In background snaggle tooth is laying splayed out with a green cloud coming from her crotch, a dog wlks by and sniffs twice, then drops over with X's for eyes and ghost of dog floats away holding it's nose with one hand and a harp in the other) TM: (holding up pill bottle) "And these come with a weeks prescription of antibiotic. And the lubricant is mixed with air freshener and wintergreen flavoring, making even the nastiest snatch fresh as a daisy." (Show flies buzzing around snaggle tooth's crawl.) Dude: "Thanks Trojan Man" (reaches up for the box of condoms. Turns to snaggle tooth.) TM: "Another satisfied and safe Trojan user. My work heer is done!" (show trojan man walking away with gas mask on. Anyway, I am hoping to get this idea animated. If anyone can help me out I would appericate it.
  5. Sam, Posting that picture is WRONG man. I know that ain't one to do shit like that to a woman, but just posting that is a small way condones that shit.
  6. And V of A and S A have stopped taking ANYTHING that is not in running condition. BTW, just what is the car anyway and is there a title for it? All you said was it's a Camaro. [ 11. March 2005, 01:53 PM: Message edited by: desperado ]
  7. No, it shouldn't be a problem. http://www.arc-zone.com/Solutions/June2004.html Featured Torch. I have one of these. I can hold a puddle it the bottom of a pop can with it without burn through. BUT, I am going to want some scrap to work with so I can see how it welds before I do the final welding.
  8. Well, it is 10 hours drive time a day, and 60 hours total a week is the new regs when it went to the CDL. Pay varies from .28 a mile to .50 or better a mile depending on experience and type of freight. Some companies do pay an hourly load and unload wage to the drivers while others do not. And the guys that make the money basically live in the truck. I realize that you hear the adds about 50 and 60 a year for wages. But the thing they don't mention is the road expense. There is no such thing as a home cooked meal. You either eat lunch meat and bread that you are carrying in a 12 volt refrigerator or you are eating truck stop or fast food. (BTW, truck stop food rocks if it's resturant type food and not Mcdonalds or some shit like that) And yes, you get to see the United States, but since you are hauling on a schedule, you get to see it through the windshield and not much more. My dad drove for 35 years and has been as far as Alaska in a truck. Needless to say I grew up around trucking and had planned to follow in his footsteps untill he explained it all to me. Trucking is an experience all it's own, and there are alot of very proud drivers. They keep the country running. But its not a career for a person that has a family, because you are on the road ALOT, and you tend to miss alot of little league games, school plays, first dates, and a host of other things, but it is a very noble profession. Hope this helps.
  9. OK, first changing the fuild is still a good idea Jeff, if iit's got dirt in the it can help that. Rob, now what you are saying finally hit me. I THRID gear the bands in a 4OD are NOT engaged, but as it goes up through the gears they are used. Just NOT in 3rd gear. I just confused as to what you were saying.
  10. As far as stainless, Yes. Is it hidden on one side or will both sides be visible?
  11. Right, the shift points and kickdown are electronic controlled. But its' still fluid powered, If the pump fails or if it has no fluid, it still will not go. I guess that we are not on the same page here. What you seem to be saying is that the tranny would work even if the motor was not running, which is not possible, the pump needs to be spinning. If you are referring to electric power, I can't see why it would matter, the engine wouldn't run if there was not electric in the vehicle, you at least need power to run the ignition. Not saying that the DOT always makes sence with their regulations. The way I understood the E40D is that the spool valve connected to the shift linkage opened the fluid flow up to engage 1st gear and is shifted from there electronically, so first was always first. Now I may be WAY the hell off on that too. But as far as the bands only being used when you manually selected gear and not when the computer selected the gear is a first. Unless that is in stuff newer than the E4OD.
  12. It really don't matter, Jon ain't got the balls to run him anyway, so this is pretty much academic at this point. He's fine sitting on his ass giving people shit on the board.
  13. What's really funny about this is if it's the Sonny I think it is. His 250 most likely run with a 750. This would be the guy that wiped the floor with a riced Honda, in a diesel Excursion 2 out of 3 runs. But it might not be the same guy. Hey Jon, why not race him and find out. Either your gonna get a bike out of the deal, or your ass will be walking home. If its' who I think it is, you will be walking home that night. So let us all know if you deside to pony up and run the guy so we call all come watch.
  14. Ok, all is not lost I don't believe. Remember that Drive is just automatic shift from first to second to third. Not a different gear. SO, it sounds to me like you either have a clogged filter, causing the need to rev the motor to build enough pressure for the clutches to engage. Reverse BTW requires more pressure than any of the forward gears, at least with the trannies that I'm familiar with so I will go on that premis. First thig you need to do is drain it, and put a filter in it. I do realize that it just got rebuild, but if the guy that rebuilt it had his $3.00 an hour asswipe clean it out (and remember what it was doing to need rebuilt to begin with most likely put shit all throught it) that it could easily have dirt in it. Second reason I am thinking dirt is that drive starts off in first, and does second and first. If you shift it into drive it goes into first reguardless, and if it will not move in drive but will in first, which is the same gear, the only difference is where the valve body is flowing fluid through it, it has got either dirt in the valve body, or the valve body had fluid flowing between channels, basically caused by a bad gasket or improperly tightened valve body bolts allowing enough slop for a leak.
  15. I bought through Todd Dodderer of Key Properties in Johnstown is who I would recommend. He's a pretty good guy, not the norm for realtors. In fact, Joey Roughdabaugh (sp?) who I also worked with at a previous job also works for Key and is a straight forward, no BS type of person. I can't be specific about how, but I family that deals with realtors on a DAILY basis and I know what type of people they are, or a number of them anyhow, I don't want to say that the mindset i hear about is the norm. But if it is these two folks are NOT the norm. And tell either of them that I recomended them, and they will treat you right.
  16. Does it have the 4 LED's on tha back labeled A, B, C, and D?? If so get on Dell ssite and look at what the lights mean. They are there for diagnostic for dell phone support but the "codes" are on the web site foryour model most likely.
  17. I got a couple sets of heads that I will let go cheap and an intake for that matter. Heads will need a valve job done on them but other than that they are ready to set on a motor. If he finds the carb and you want it rebuilt. PM me. I will rebuild and jet it to your motor for a reasonable cost.
  18. Hmm, I have a 2 bolt 350. Needs built. Performer RPM intake and 650 double pumper that I will rejet for your combination once you get it on the motor. Is there anything else that you are looking for??
  19. Opps my bad. Getting old blows. I was thinking that someone used that size, either factory or aftermarket, but I might be wrong. Unless I am confusing wrist pin diameters and lifter diameters.
  20. I am wondering if anyone has a good source for cage tubing. I am planning caging the Camaro and I am unsure if I want to go with a prebent kit from Jegs or try out my new tubing kinker (bender). Any help is appericated or it you have pieces laying around of reasonable length from a finished project that you want a few bucks for I might be interested so hit me up. Also, What is NHRA requirement for wall thickness?
  21. Mike, I can't seem to find any info on the unit. Most likely I am looking in the wrong place. Pls post soem links directly to application and installation info so I can figure out if I could even use it. I am considering trying to drive 2 2 barrel throttle bodies with it but I am unsure if it will even do that.
  22. going down dressed / undressed like that just might set a record for road rash both in location and coverage.
  23. I still think that the second of thrid some be a charge of attempted vehicular homoscide. I have had people argue this with me saying that the person made a bad choice. I don't by that, never will. It's lile saying that you didn't know if you pointed a loaded gun at a group of people and pulled the trigger that SOMEONE ain't gonna get shot. It's not a murder because there is no specific intent at a specific person, which I believe is a requirement for murder. But there, in my opinion is still intent. We hear about peopel getting killed every other night on the news by a drunk driver. So anyone that goes out drinking, without a designated driver or other means of getting home besides driving themself, then making the choice to drink too much shows intent, or at the very least serious neglect. Everyone screams that the laws need changed, I don't believe that. I think that it's not being charged properly with the laws that we do have. If some dim wit blows a .1 for a second time then ok. He's just a dipshit. The guy thats blowing .19 for the 5 time, well, lock him up and forget about where you locked him up at for about 30 yrs. I don't believe that you will stop a druck from drinking and driving, so remove him from society.
