greg rn---ha my wife has a b.s. nursing degree. she worked at mt. carmel for 5 years before we moved---actually made more money than me for one year while i was in residency. she worked weekend option for two years---basically you work a 12 hour shift every sat and sun for 16 weeks. she was getting $42/hr as an icu nurse during those weekends. i tried to get her to go the crna route, but at this point we don't need the money. not sure what the op means by working in radiology?? you don't need to go to nursing school to be a rad tech---you just need to have thick skin when you go to the operating room with the x-ray machine and get yelled at by the surgeon for not taking xrays exactly how we want. just remember the health care field is not a career, its a lifestyle--

So what did you give your significant other for X-mas?

Told my wife to create a wish list on blooming dales website and I'd select a few things from it. Then I just get everything on the list. I also got her an iPod touch for her birthday a few days ago. Funny thing is if she wants something she just gets it. I was actually a bit embarrassed at al the gifts we got our kids, didn't realize how much we got them until we put everything under the tree -
Water leaks right through the heat extractor on the hood and has a clear shot at the alternator. The alternators are known to go on these cars because of all the added heat from the blower. Most people open the extractors to help cool the motor, so water runs right onto the alternator. I put a towel on the motor when I wash the car and try not to drench water down the extractors

currently at work right now until 2pm. i'm on call all weekend, so if someone gets fucked up at any time from now until monday, then i go to work.

sad that (some) of these guys will likely soon earn millions of dollars, yet they sold symbols of their extreme dedication and hard work for $1-2k. that's the biggest problem i have. do i morally see a problem with them getting discounted tatoos for signing an autograph??--no. but selling your big ten championship ring?? selling an award?? they should know better at this point. idiots. and i agree that the NCAA needs equal enforcement---cam newton is as guilty as the day is long.

just got back from disney. had a great time. my twin 3 year old girls loved it. they got the whole princess makeover at the castle--wasn't cheap, but worth every penny to see the look on their faces when they were all done up. going to siesta key in sarasota in 2 weeks for a guy's trip.

my stock clutch and input shaft have lasted 19k miles, 10k of which have been at 600rwhp. i've been to the track a few times and never had a problem with clutch slippage until this summer. if you're going to track the car frequently, when the clutch goes, swap in an auto. my car is getting a built auto swapped in as we speak

I'm in bitches. Made the mistake about a week ago to answer my wife's callout. She challenged me to an indoor triathlon at the end of feb. 2.5 mile run, 5 mile bike, 1/4 mile swim. Keep in mind I get winded if I run 1/2 mile, and my wife has done several 'real' outdoor triathlons and routinely runs 1/2 marathons. I'm already making solid progress with training and weight loss Starting weight 240 lbs Current weight 229 lbs Goal--under 200 lbs by end of feb, and beating my wife (in the race)

i realize this. right now, i'm concentrating on paying off our house, and saving for the kids' college, etc. i will likely buy a car this summer, and it will probably be one of the above. its hard to justify spending tons of money on the cars when i only put 500 miles on my cobra over the summer, and the vette will be a year old in march with only 800 miles on it.

this is a car that has lived at nearly 600rwhp for most of its 80k mile life with a completely stock motor minus a bolted on blower. i'd say its held up well.
-
spec clutches work just fine in these cars. if the guy is a perfectionist who owned the car before he would have swapped in the 26 spline input shaft when he did the clutch. 275 tires on these cars do not work, unless they are mickey thompson's on a 15" wheel.

who said you can't drift a mustang?? http://www.streetfire.net/video/86-stang-306-last-day-out-season-06-all-day_34961.htm

these cars are an absolute blast. from a 40 roll, with good tires, it will take a lot to beat you with the 3.73's and all that power. the solid rear drops 125lbs. the 2.6's really aren't better than the 2.2 below 20psi. nothing screams like a 2.2---nothing. congrats on the car, you'll enjoy it.

well, your best bet is to track down the guy from ricart and find out more info. 80k miles is quite a bit. some guys on svtperformance have over 100k miles at 600rwhp. guess it depends on how you drive it. i'd be prepared for a rebuild if it hasn't been done already. you should only have to replace the pistons with some looser fitting slugs if you're on a budget. crank/rods/block are good for 800rwhp in these cars without a problem. your torque seems low, but if i remember correctly, the 2.2's don't put down tons of torque. for reference, my car has nearly the exact same mods as yours minus the headers, and i have cats (whipple 2.3 blower at 17psi, catback, intake, fuel mods, suspension, solid rear). i put down 590rwhp and 575tq. you can get more than enough information on the two websites i referred to
-
welcome to the site. don't know squat about drifting, but props to someone that has spent as much time/money into their car/hobby as you have. you'll enjoy it here
-
welcome to the site. as stated, get some better rubber on the rear. should have gone with an MGW shifter, but oh well. check out svtperformance.com or modularfords.com for more information on these cars, if you haven't already. welcome to the site

how about you take the car to a dyno, and make sure the tune is correct/safe. if you're worried about whether or not you bought a ratted-out, beat-to-shit car------well, its too late. if the tune is safe, and the car puts down 550-600 rwhp with 15-17psi, you're going to be fine. i have no idea who's car that is.

i'd love a new turbo cayenne. hard to justify the new purchase price, but i'll hold out for a certified used one. i have to have the newer one that's 500lbs lighter, so i'll have to wait a year, but that car's on my list.

for some reason this made me think of the movie american psycho, where he goes into the office building at the end of the movie and shoots the desk security guard and then walks away like nothing happened
-
don't think i'd ever get out of my car these days to confront anyone. glad nothing serious happened.
-
i'd honestly love to roll out in an early 60's impala convertible with hydraulics ala "friday". don't know why. i'd probably have a ton more cars right now if my wife would allow it. my list of cars that she does not approve of, but i would readily buy if i got the o.k evo for the winter lsx rx7 buick gn supra cars i'm contemplating in the next year or two, that have gotten the o.k. from the wife (i can only choose one and will likely have to get rid of my GTO and exploder) turbo diesel truck cayenne turbo, or other luxury SUV 911 turbo

welcome. i lived in tampa about 2 years ago----great place to live for a year, and that was about it. i actually lived a little north of tampa in the new tampa area. they do have a good car scene down there. were you on the mafiamotorsports site there?
-
must go to walt's for seafood when you're in sarasota. tampa is a great place to visit, and should be on your list. not much to do in orlando unless you're doing disney or sea world--which are both great. you have a lot to do in just a little bit of time. and yes, june is miserably hot in florida

elevator on high street. cool, classy bar with great food. hole in the wall---try starliner cafe out in hilliard on cemetery road---great food, always get whatever the special is that day
-
yeah, they are. people can adjust much better to cold weather than to hot weather. you don't notice too much of a diff. between 10 degrees and 30 degrees, but will certainly notice the difference between 70 degrees and 90 degrees
