about 5 bros and myself will be leaving cars and coffee on Saturday to go to the show if anyone wants to join?

Most always a game will want a quad core CPU, which this i3 is a dual core, with 4 threads which should be fine for lite gaming. I checked the system requirements for Scrap Mechanic and its minimum requirements specify a dual core or higher. Everything else you listed can run on a toaster so you should be fine. Staying within budget is always tough, but I hope the hunt for systems goes well for you.

Craigslist "gaming" PC in a nutshell
-
Ok, so I help folks build systems all the time and this is the WORST time in the history of PC-Builders to recommend for anyone that they build a system... sadface.jpeg GPU and RAM prices are out of control atm... so lets look in the pre-built sector. I will be up front about this... there is no system out there right now that will have dedicated GPU for around $300-ish. Scrap Mechanic needs at lest a 8800GT to run (According to the minimum requirements, and most systems will have integrated graphics which in most cases are complete poop. For scale, The Dell Outlet is a place where I normally go to buy nice priced refurbished systems and I was able to find you this Dell Inspiron 5000 with a dedicated AMD Radeon R7 M440 with 2GB of V-RAM for $450. The Benchmarks for that card show that it can barley run Team Fortress 2 at 720p... OUCH! So, The Inspiron 5000 also comes in a gaming trim with some decent specs for ~$650 a pop on the outlet. One of the key things about the gaming trim is that is comes with a GTX 1050 which is a Pascal based GPU and a solid one at that. The GTX 1050 is the sweet spot for 720p gaming on the go showing FPS well above 50 in most games which you can see here. Honestly, If you want to avoid headaches down the line, I would spend the $1200-ish bucks on the Dell Outlet and get two of them. The system sacrifices on am amazing display, for better internal components. Here is a very good review of the device which is unbiased and on the level. So, lets look at some Desktops. Woot.com (website is owned by Amazon) is selling an HP Omen that will do the trick for you at $599.99 with free shipping for Prime customers. Woot is kinda like Amazon's sellout area, or thats how I like to think of it. The desktop does not have a very good i5 Processor, but it has a GTX 1060 3GB GPU which will handle all your children's gaming without breaking a sweat. The tower is small form factor, and easy to hide if needed. One nice bonus is the 7200 RPM HDD, while it is not an SSD which I prefer in this day and age... the speed should load games and applications just fine. If you are VERY sure you want to stick in your $350 budget range, then you will want to look at craigslist and pray that someone is just looking to get rid of their shit. I am not going to bother searching Craigslist because if you type in "gaming laptop" you basically get a bunch of overpriced systems that people feel are "GAMING" systems... *Deep Sigh* Anyways, there are just a small portion of whats out there that can do some gaming for your kids. I would recommend searching the Dell outlet or Woot for your budget needs. ALWAYS try and get a dedicated GTX 1050 in a laptop for gaming and avoid the GTX 960M because it's not going to handle a lot of gaming fluidly at 720p. Let me know what you think and PM me with any questions you might have... happy hunting

Had someone almost kill me this morning because they did not understand what a "TURN ONLY LANE" is on Cleveland Ave. I was in the turn lane going onto a one lane street and the woman in the SUV next to me decided "FUCK EVERYONE ELSE, IMMA TURNING MY CAR!!!" with no blinker in the straight only lane. Fuck Ohio drivers! The Northland area is the worst, I swear it!

Any C&C fans still alive out there? C&C Red Alert 2 was my shit back in the day... A little Generals:ZH here and there. Ah, the good old RTS days

Let's Discuss Paint: Bright and Bold? or Dark and Quiet?
ShowHBK replied to ShowHBK's topic in Passing Lane
I find this to be interesting, because when I purchased my car, I never really looked at its sand/tan interior being a huge deal but it's grown on me BIG TIME. I have been trying to find Mustang with the same color interior, but the sand color is almost non-existent on the 2015 models which makes me sad. I truly love a black and sand interior. The contrast to me is very pleasing to the eye. -
Let's Discuss Paint: Bright and Bold? or Dark and Quiet?
ShowHBK replied to ShowHBK's topic in Passing Lane
This is honestly how I feel most of the time with car colors. Black and Grey look muted to me which tends to hide all the beautiful lines, curves, and details. Opinionated of course, because as iwashmycar said in a previous post at how he sees blacks and grey colors "bring out" the lines and details. I almost feel like its in the eye of the beholder. Also, Something I thought of is the time of day matters HUGE in this role with the brighter colors shining in the day and the darker colors looking sleek and stealth at night. Honestly, if I lived in a place where it was always dark, I would have a black car without question for that extra stealth look, but... I drive in the day, so bright colors make more sense to me. If you know what I mean. ;-) -
Let's Discuss Paint: Bright and Bold? or Dark and Quiet?

I can respect this, because you say that the lines, design, and other elements are more important. Do you feel like the grey/black colors bring out the lines better then a brighter color such as red or orange? would you feel like the more muted colors bring out the lines better then a brighter color? Just wondering what your thoughts are. I'm in love with that orange, WOW! what a color! -
I have not made a post like this in a while and I thought I would try and spin up some discussion on something I've wondered about for a while now. Does the color of your car mater? I was reading this article when I came accross this quote from Henry Ford “Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black”. The article goes on to say that the most popular automotive color in 2013 was white followed by black, grey, and silver. I find this all to be interesting because as we all know, back in the day cars were a melody of different bright colors. Images like the one below really strike and accord with me for a number for reasons. Everyone is smiling, the car is bright yellow like a high viability jacket screaming "LOOK AT ME!!!", and the design evokes a feeling of the future for all who lay eyes on it. As the years went on we seemed to have lost our interest in bright automotive colors. The article goes on to say that one contributing reason is the color of our technology plays a role in the color of our cars. I disagree with this on so many levels, but I would like to point out that if these were the case then in 1998 with the introduction of the iMac G3 and it's colorful design, we should have had some sick neon colors in the late 90's, but instead all we got was the dodge neon itself in 1993. Anyways, Does the color of your car "really" mater? Are you a freak when it comes to the color of your car? Would you pass up/purchase a car only base on the color? and finally, what does the color of someone else's car say to you? Does red scream "race car"? does black say "don't look at me"? For me, I don't know why, but I have always loved burgundy colored cars the most. There is something about a red wine or copper color that simply sings to me. I have never really enjoyed "bright" cars that grab your eye whenever they drive by like a brand new Ferrari in "Rosso Corsa". Burgundy feels like a safe mixture to me of unique and subtle. Oddly enough for me, color maters BIG time. I tend to avoid colors that I deem to lack excitement such as black or grey. I feel as though black and grey lack any form of enjoyment. This is by the way opinionated and if you happen to own a black or grey car then this is not a stab at you (the driver), but more an opinion about the paint on the car. If you happen to LOVE your black BMW, then I say "more power to ya my dude", but for me... the color does little for me. Anyways... What colors do you all love/hate. Does the color of a car mater? and would you like to see old bright colors make a comeback? Let me know what you think and be sure to post your favorite car in your favorite color. For me... It's always going to be the Mustang in "Grabber Blue". There is so much win in my book on this color!

Great channel man! Keep up the great work! I like the commentary and you seem to want to keep things interesting. Very nice  Let me know if you want help editing things. I have a Macbook laying around that I use for editing drone footage and iMovie is a gift from the gods when it comes to free video editing software.

Question for CR: What's the best 1980's cheap Japanese sports car?ts
ShowHBK replied to Geeto67's topic in Passing Lane
A totally unbiased recommendation from me has to be an RX-7. Find a well used one, rebuild the engine and never look back my friend. Do not resist the call of the spinning Doritos! -
O_O WOW! That's actually surprising to me. I have used nothing but Samsung with great results. I would honestly just attribute your situation with "bad luck". All of my gadgets use Samsung SD Cards and I have only had one die in my GoPro after it took a hockey puck right to the back.
-
like Ryan is saying, if you have them break frequently then it's something YOUR doing. I would be interested to know the brand your SD card was. I only purchase Samsung SD cards because they seem to strike a good balance of quality and performance (transfer speeds). this is completely opinionated though... i'v seen people make the $5 Chinese ones last for years. its whatever you like really. Again... sorry for your loss man, i'v had some SSD die on me before and it kills me inside to lose data.
-
Giving you an honest answer, if the card is corrupted then throw it in the trash. SD cards are so cheap that they are practically disposable at this point. 32 GB ones are $15 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Class-Micro-Adapter-MB-MC32GA/dp/B0749KG1JK/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1520041024&sr=1-3&keywords=samsung+sd+card Want to recover the data? We have used Wondershare: Data Recovery at work. The price for the software is not crazy, but I can't guarantee that paying for the software will bring your files back. SD cards are almost impossible to recover data on... trust me! It's more trouble then it's worth. Sorry for your loss m8

That's cool man, AoE is one of those golden classics. Great game with plenty of fun to be had. You will not be disappointed.

I played the HD remake on Steam for a little while. It was fun and enjoyable. In the RTS world I was always more of a C&C fan. RA2 and YR were my shit back in middle school. I even knew a few kids who played and we did a LAN party once or twice with some 4 player action. Most of the time we would do a truce for 30 minutes before opening the flood gates. So much fun I don't think I will play the new Definitive Edition because WoW and PUBG are taking up most of my life at the moment. I might swing in to check it out at some point. Have fun playing my dude!

Notice how the dip at the start gets lower and lower...WOW! What do you do if that thing breaks through the ice? New NHRA class?

Hey folks, I am throwing this out there to see if anyone is interested in buying my Surface Pro 4 i5 variant. I purchased this system in December of 2016 and have used it for just about everything during my ownership. The system is very capable and was always able to do productivity work, play games, and watch movies. The screen is beautiful and watching Youtube, Amazon video, or Netflix was always a treat. Gets a little hot when gaming for long periods of time, but this is to be expected given it's small form factor. I am willing to negotiate on the price. I am also happy to bring the system to Cars and Coffee for anyone who wants to give it a look. No dents, scratches, or dings on the body. Keyboard shows normal wear over time. PM me with any questions you might have System Specs: Windows 10 Pro i5 6300U Processor: clocked at 2.4 Ghz 256 GB SSD (Expandable via SD card slot on the back) 8 GB of RAM Intel HD 520 Graphics Display: 2736x1824 1: USB 3.0 Port 1: Mini Display Port 1: Headphone jack (looking at you Apple ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) 1: Micro SD Card Slot I am also including all of the accessories I got with the system when I purchased it. Microsoft was running a promotion where you got some "free" goodies included with the system. They are as follows: Brenthaven Case: Has room for the Surface, mouse, pen, and charger Surface Arc Mouse (Version 1) Surface Pen (Came with the surface, but im including it with accessories) Mini Display port to HDMI adapter 3 Foot HDMI Cable Surface Magnetic Charger w/ USB port on the charger (Very nice for charging a phone while on the go or at a hotel) http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=949&pictureid=8991 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=949&pictureid=8992 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=949&pictureid=8995 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=949&pictureid=8994
