  1. don't be so sure. I got a nice $300 ticket on it.
  2. saving this thread from disaster..
  3. I know someone that used to keep their very prised 1966 chevy II nova in a cycle vault for cars. he used to buy bags of desiccant and put it inside with it to absorb the moisture.
  4. I have one by nelson rigg but it's just a delux cover it's not water proof. it's water resistant. it's kind of like a tent. what ever touches the cover is usually wet. but it will keep 95% of the water off the bike. and it has the air vents to allow air flow under it. that's the key. http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=484 I forget it's size, but I can look if you want me to. it' fits perfectly on my R6. they do make much better ones than mine that are 100% water proof. but you'll pay for it. but it does have a lifetime warranty. http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=347
  5. who doesn't use their debit card as a real credit card? that's the whole idea of them. I see the scanners always ask what kind of card it is I ALWAYS select credit. the last time I selected debit it was declined. so I never do it.
  6. he's seen too many movies. how many times have the person at the register have trouble getting your card to work directly with the damn scanner? like a device is going to really work from a few feet away.
  7. I don't care for the GTO. I like the G8 way better. to bad Pontiac got killed off I would have bought one.
  8. who the fuck is working at the store and not see this take place??? those are the fucking idiots that should reimburse anyone that gets their info stolen.
  9. why do you want a title for a quad? you ride them off road there's no real need for one. keep your bill of sale. that's your reciept. the police can't do shit to you.
  10. first of all, the egrish is terrible...that's your first clue. second, I like when these idiots tell you they need all this info when ebay and paypal sends it all in the transactions. they are phishing for your info. more than likely she'll provide you with a link to a fake ebay site too. for you to enter all your info into. 3rd who uses ebay to sell a bike on craigslist? you come see the bike, hand them the money. test ride it, negotiate, agree on a price...leave with or without bike.
  11. I think this thread is really about how to piss off conservatives by pointing out how badly they are at the memory and being a hypocrite. finger pointing isn't getting our economy back. working together for a fix and coming up with ways to prevent it from happening again is what everyone should be doing instead.
  12. I'm telling you guys...mandatory drivers ed every time you renew is the only way to keep idiots off the streets.
  13. I actually feel really bad for obama. his presidency is bitter sweet. first black man president that has to take over the 2nd worse economy in us history. his biggest fault is trying to do anything with healthcare when you have an economy where there are millions on unemployment because of your own government. the economy should have been is priority
  14. oh here we go with it wasn't bushes fault crap again...
  15. what can you do when you have to fix a 8 year long republican depression?
  16. notice I didn't say that's all it can hold.
  17. doesn't really appear the Republicans have a good grasp on not racking up debt.
  18. I can put 45 copies of doom on my usb thumb drive. and it only cost $12 lol do zip drives even work with windows beyond 95?
  19. a motorcycle's transmission isn't like the one in a standard car/truck. a motorcycle transmission is called a sequential transmission. which is specifically designed to be able to shift without the clutch. that's the whole idea of it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A sequential manual transmission (or sequential manual gearbox) is a type of manual transmission used on motorcycles and high-performance cars for auto racing, where gears are selected in order, and direct access to specific gears is not possible. With traditional manual transmissions, the driver can move from any gear, to any gear, by moving the shifter to the appropriate position. This type of transmission is often referred to as a H-pattern because of the path that the shift lever takes as it selects the various gears. A clutch must be disengaged before the new gear is selected, to disengage the running engine from the transmission, thus stopping all torque transfer. In auto racing, this process is slow and prone to human error; hence the development of the sequential transmission is put in hand. A true sequential transmission will very often use dog clutch engagement rather than the more usual syncromesh as fitted to a normal H-pattern road car gearbox. Engagement using dogs only requires a very brief interruption of engine torque to complete a shift into any adjacent gear. This allows shifting between gears without the use of the clutch. The clutch would normally be used only for standing starts. Benefits Beyond the ease of use from a driver's standpoint, an additional benefit of sequential manual gearboxes is that use of the clutch via foot pedal or hand control can be minimized or completely obviated, with the clutch only used for starting from a complete stop. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequential_manual_transmission
  20. the msf instructors all said these test the dmv makes you do are useless motorcycle skills. if you think about it, when do you come up to a situation like this cone test or figure 8 on a roadway??? if you think about it, almost the whole thing is a pile of bullshit.
  21. sometimes it's best to just let things die. metallica, brittany spears, you get the picture. they were one of the greats in their time. but that time is long gone. and so is their music writing skills.
  22. lets not go throwing stones about obama's intelligence when you guys were hanging on this guy's nuts.
  23. my brother says he downshifts his FZ6 sometimes without the clutch and said it goes right in gear nice and smooth like upshifting. I guess he still blips the throttle to do it. I don't because a R6 has a very sensitive for lack of a better term, transmission. around town and lower rpm it can be a little clunky to shift. but once you get it at high rpms you can do it with or without the clutch and it's butter smooth.
