jbot
I don't think he wanted to call either, but I would've found out sooner or later. He also asked me to trailer it back to his house from the hospital today since he has no way of transporting it. I guess he was near a hospital and the bike was rideable, so he went straight to the ER.he's got good insurance, right?
Cheech
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.Quote of the day right there.I sold my 600RR to some kid who drove all the way from Indiana to buy it. He said he wrecked his old Honda stunting it, but quickly stated that he wasn't going to do that on this bike, no sir! I told him that after this deal is done, you can 12 o'clock this thing however you want, it's your responsibility. It's been a year, and I firmly expect this thing is rotting away in a junkyard somewhere.
Cheech
he's got good insurance, right?Mine didn't cover injuries, but then I could have just been cheeping out on coverage.

TRMN8TR
he's got good insurance, right?I would hope so. He didn't seem overly concerned about the hospital visit, just a bruised ego.
Bad324
well the good part of this story is knowing despite the winners moronic actions, your brother was still greatly helped by your actions!also should have rigged it so I won, it would be the prettiest garage and trailer queen
madcat6183
He'll recover and be fine, best news is about your brother man. TRMN8TR
well the good part of this story is knowing despite the winners moronic actions, your brother was still greatly helped by your actions! This is true. I know I said thanks to everyone here a hundred times already. But just so you all know again, between this bike raffle and a benefit held by my family we raised just over $30K. He said he would've been in a world of financial hurt and in danger of losing the house he had just bought if we didn't do it.

Medina
I'm too pretty not to atgatt myself up. Feel bad for the kid, sure, but its no way the OP's fault...we're all responsible for our own actions. Every time I go out, ..I see someone in shorts, in sandals, t-shirt, no helmet and "glasses" that look cool, but NO way will stay on the brain dome if you turn your head sideways at 30mph. Thats bad enough, but to see some cute chic in shorts, tank top and no helmet...*shudder* why take someone else along on your skid fest. sheeeut. Not always harley guys, but dang.. I get its tempting to take the bike to the beach ready to swim, but What was the bike to begin with?
RVTPilot
Glad to hear about your brother's progress! Not so glad to see the knucklehead chose to ignore your advice on gear. Other peoples kids...
kingdom
I like to hear about people who care about their bike and its next rider. The guy who sold me my bike gave me a few hours of free riding lessons. That was very cool, and I have kept him updated on how the bike is doing. J_Copeland
I really didn't care if I won the bike or not, just would have liked to see it go to someone other than a nOOb. But good to hear that he'll be ok.
TRMN8TR
What was the bike to begin with? Daytona 675, not exactly a great starter bike...

TMonhollen
That's really unfortunate :/. Thankfully he's pretty much okay, minus the rash. Sucks about the bike for sure. What kind of bike was it? This will definitely remind me to keep all of my gear on. I was a little tempted to put my jacket/gloves in my bag today, because I was pouring sweat...glad I left it on. speedytriple
Sucks about the bike and the owners mishap. Good to hear your brother is doing better though. Like I always say better to sweat then bleed.
