You can buy a mac mini for 500ish

 

if your wanting to run osx your going to need a fast machine anyways

 

 

AMD64 with SSE3 is a must

 

were as all the mac setups are dual core.

 

so think about your options a bit.

I have a Dual care 1.66 but just wanted to dual boot mac OS also have a mac mini at home but just wanted to use both if i could with out buying a new laptop

You can get almost the same as OS X by running FreeBSD. I wouldn't be surprised if there's also a project out there to clone the UI via KDE or Gnome.

Well it took me two days working on this at work in my spare time and I got it loaded. If you don't know much about Linux forget about doing this on your own. It's not nearly as easy as the guy that made that web site lets on.
