2highpsi
They should be glad its not california. They crush the cars almost instantly no matter what I believe. Before a conviction?? I doubt it
Guest tbutera2112
i think its going to be hard for them to nail these guys with drag racing tickets....especially if there was no racing involved....but ya never know, i got pulled over because me and a friend were doing 51 in a 35, and they wrote Drag Racing on our tickets without mentioning how slow we were going....bitches
wnaplay1647545503
Before a conviction?? I doubt it No not instantly, that could hardly be justified. They tend to expedite their court systems a little faster than we do here. I seen a special once where the very next day the guy had already been convicted and was watching them put his car in the crusher. Thats pretty quick. Mopar
they are going to get in trouble for racing whether they were or weren't racing. simply cuz at least one was clocked over 100mph
thorne
But, their prior runs had not gone unnoticed by motorists who backed up behind the stopped cars. This time, the State Highway Patrol was lying in wait north of the Franklin-Delaware county line. ^^
RedRocket1647545505
^^ Werd. This has been coming. IIRC, didn't SawBinder (who is, I believe, a police officer on the north end) warn us that this day was approaching and to be careful? Many of the friendly officers of the car/motorcycle community have been warning of this for awhile now.

GRN96WS6
Some people won't heed to a warning they just need caught to learn their lesson sad but true. I don't even believe that they thought that this time wasn't coming I mean sure when I lived out there in 00 the cops got on us once in a while but it wasn't as bad as it is now and to think the time wasn't coming is just plain ignorance plain and simple. medium fast
I was Prestons escort service outta handcuffs THE BUSTER CAME BACK, THE BUSTER KEPT ME OUT OF JAIL. This was a tragic situation for those involved, I hope it all works out for everyone. The cops are blowing this out of proportion, and hyping it up MUCH more then it needs to be. I think people were starting to get brave again. I mean at one point we used to fucking stop 270 over on the east side. Back when running a 12 was FAST. People were just getting ballzerier and ballzerier this year. Fuck I've seen dig races happen litterly 20 feet from the lot not just 1 but groups of people. The closet thing that I rember happening like that before was a certin black camaro 3rdgen and a Certin FD. We all reaped the rewards of taco bell that night. :bangbang:

LPFSTheFett
I think we should focus on getting more track rentals going and try to keep it off the streets more. This is a pretty big chunk of the regulars and I'm glad Marks car was broke, because if it wasn't, I know for a fact we would have both been out last night. This is a bad situation for those that got caught up in it last night. However, we all knew/know the ricks when we participate in this type of behavior. I must say I'd be pissed off if I was arrested and they didn't have solid proof I was racing or didn't catch me in the act. It's like going to a bar and arresting everybody that was drunk because they knew they were probably going to drive home. So yes, I get mad and pissed off when an officer is mean and rude to me, but in the end they are doing their job. Why do peole insist on turning things into ebattles. To call all police officers names and say they are worthless, is ignorant. Yes I agree a lot abuse their power and are ass holes, but look at what they have to deal with on a daily basis. The average american is an idiot and lets be honest, if an officer pulled you over and wrote you a ticket and was a complete asshole, you'd be much more likely to slow down, then if they pulled you over told you how nice your car was and let you off the hook. Hopefully these guys will be able to beat this. I really feel for them and it's unfortunate they had to spend anytime in jail. I think simple tickets and court dates would have been sufficent. However, if they set up a a sting to specifically get them, they wouldn't be that easy.
dragknee66
The cops are blowing this out of proportion, and hyping it up MUCH more then it needs to be. I still dont see where stopping traffic on a major state highway could be considering "out of proportion" though?

Not true when i was 16 one night the freeway on the westside was shut down and cruisers cam the wrong way at people racing. A guy running in a nova and the cops catching him while he was strapping the car back down on the trialer
2highpsi
What blows my mind, is there were 20 cars for this, but we can barely get 30 for the track rental....
wnaplay1647545503
The thrill of running on a street and its availablity is what drives people to prefer this over a track.
