Why do you sell?

I didnt want to sell my VR4, I loved it. But it was getting old, lot of miles and I wanted something newer and nicer. I also had someone who made me a good offer for it so I was able to pay off my bike, my credit cards and put money down for my S4.

 

I have no intentions of ever selling the S4, but then again I didn't either for the VR4. Everything is for sale for the right price i guess.

Sold my bike due to "suggestion" by my ex-wife (she left 4 months after I sold it).

Bought my Camaro project a week after the divorce was finalized (which really wasn't what I wanted).

Worked on it to keep my mind off things.

Changed my mind back to what I wanted/want to build...sold it.

 

Every other car I've sold because I've gotten bored with them.

I usually sell my stuff because of family priorities and financial obligations. Maybe when the kids are out of the house (in 18 years) I may keep something.

Sold 95 SE Taurus for 95 SHO which I wrecked

Bought 94 SHO which I sold because not reliable to get to school and work

Leased new 2006 A4 and turned in at lease end

Bought 2006 GTI DSG and sold to my dad

Bought 2008 Rabbit 5 speed to lower payments, traded it in because it was boring

Bought my 2006 GTI back and will either keep it for a long time or sell it next year for an A4 Avant

Wow, I'm actually surprised how many cars a lot of you have had considering the median age here is still pretty young (2x-3x years old)

beaters I get bored with ever 6-18 months or so they get traded, sold or scrapped whe I come across something that catches my eye
