Dave1647545494
the part of the grip that you twist to work the throttle on this virago is broken the grips are cheap enough to buy online, but I've never changed a set before. Buckeye1647545503
If it is a rubber grip soak it is almost boiling water for 20-30 min. It works for the rubber parts at work so it should work for you and then once dry there will be no greese under it to slip

fas1k
cut the old ones off, and glue the new on...(not much is needed) I didn't glue mine on I cut the old ones off then lightly coated the new ones with hairspray and slipped them on. Have used both with no trouble. An air compressor with a blow tip works great for geting them on or off also.

Dave1647545494
ok so I need to mix the grease glue water and hairspray together and then boil the grips in the mixture before installing?
3.1cutlass
I know its a little different but to put on bicycle grips at work we use cheapo hairspray. Works excellent and they usually have to be cut off because they stick on so well.
AWW$HEEET
hairspray because it helps them slip on, and when it drys, it sticks.

88lx5oh
i want to add, if you are replacing the actual throttle tube.. which is plastic... dont put anything on it. it should have just the plastic to metal contact. if you put hairspray or shit like that it will make the throttle stick. but if your just installing grips.. rubber grips no throttle tube then you can use any of the methods above and that includes if you are installing a grip onto the throttle tube... besides the tip about grease. Dave1647545494
the throttle tube is broken and the new tube comes with a grip on it and a grip for the otherside
