Here's a few pics of my Formula. Shes been completely restored and refitted. Crap engine is out and gone - 383 Stroker is being finished up at the machine shop now. Should be in range of 475-500 horses. But she is a big heavy boat with a hull designed for comfortable speed. So I'm not sure what she will run. Factory with a 260hp 350ci she ran 51-54.

I still need to finish the gauges, paint the bilge, finish painting the trailer (once the boat is off), and of course install the engine.

Anyone interested in a thread showing the restoration?

Next up is my VIP Vision. This is a cheap little project. Picked it up for next to nothing. A guy wanted to restore it and had no clue what he was doing. He got in so deep he had no idea how to climb back out and put it back together. I started on the tune up tonight.

- I got the top deck or top half lifted back off

- Lined it up correctly then riveted in place

- I got the rub rail on, still need to buy the insert for it though

I still need to do the interior(easy - just needs put in), paint the trailer, re-light the trailer, and give it a tune up. Then sell it!

This is all I have left.

1984 Laser LTV. Pleasure version Roark Summerford built boat that was designed to race in ModVP back in the day. These boats beat everything they raced back then if the driver could keep the dry side up. The designer of these boats said that anything over 93 was big time danger zone. I've been 84 on GPS with the old 200hp motor. I now have a 240hp Bridgeport on the boat that should easily push it close to 100 with a 30-32 pitch cleaver.

A friend of mine in Florida has an all kevlar version that ran 118 on gps with a 300 drag and a 30 pitch prop.

I sold the Skater prior to moving out of Florida.

Had a 25' Baja Outlaw with a Merc 500HP, Latham steering, BravoXR, etc prior to that. I keep going back to my old Laser though. Love the smell of Klotz!

waveraider 700. I usually take it to alum once in the spring and before I winterize it in the fall, otherwise its on sandusky bay. Its pretty fast for its age. I love "racing" cars along the bridge.

LOL uh-huh

Well, I mean it was marinized by merc if thats what you mean, its almost 220hp I think.... ;)

Intake is pretty workable, have the second IAC in it, shouldn't be a problem with the MEFI 3, boat is going to Douglas, Mi shortly for some fiberglass work.

So what makes a boat "By" a manufacturer? Because they used a mold at one time?

Here is the old boat. 220hp seated 5, 16ft, not a smooth ride on chop but still fun to do 360's in.

Current boat, 430hp, 20ft, can seat 8 easy, 10 packed in and still go 59mph. A ton better in choppy water. Alot smoother.

How much does a boat like those in the pictures go for?
