Speeders What gear do you run? (Detectors/Jammers/Waze/Escortlive?)

I've been rocking my passport 8500 for a long time and it's paid for itself so many times over. With Escorts newest model being released very soon I'm planning on finally upgrading and maybe a jammer too. Ls4

I also use waze + a cardock for my galaxy note, I've had this save me a couple times on laser and it's pretty slick about rerouting around major traffic jams.

What does everyone else use gear/apps wise?

To those who say : "I Don't Speed" don't waste your time replying.

Most times by the time a laser/radar detector goes off its to late (though I don't know much about jammers). I just don't speed and avoid the ticket. When I do speed and get caught, I just pay the ticket.

Laser maybe, radar, not so much. I can't tell you how many times my passport 9500ix has picked up radar on the other side of a hill and given me ample time to slow down.

The Laser Shifter 4 works pretty damn well, a few of my friends have had them and had nothing but good things to say. They may use allot of lidar around here but you'd be surprised how often K/KA still get used.

Didn't know that, I haven't had a radar detector in years because they never worked all that well for me.

I run a 9500ix.

Longest recorded K band was 6 miles for me. I've gotten longer X band hits and similar Ka band performance.

GPS feature is nice, some people say you'll get noise and "canceled out of a real alert" when the GPS is blocking a signal, but I have yet to encounter that and in reality everything that is locked out for me is within city limits where it is hard to speed anyways.

I want to look into a ZR4 or LI system. I realize a LI will outperform a ZR4 but I can get a decent deal on a ZR4...so we will have to see.

I had escort live...it was too much or a hassle setting up the app and dealing with battery drain loss

I got rid of my V1 back in 2008 and have never looked back. I loved it but with Laser so prevalent, it's pretty much useless. Sure radar is still used, especially when OSP is rolling towards you in oncoming traffic but overall, I still feel they are useless.

I've had 1 ticket since due to simply not paying attention. Watch traffic, look for them and watch traffic. Also, know how to have fun and speed.

I hit triple digits nearly every day and never drive on the highway below 72mph. Usually 72-75mph range when cruising and have yet to be pulled over.

Around town you just have to be careful. Still there, I pretty much drive how I want and care less.

Works for me.

I've gone the same route. Ditched my Escort detector quite a few years ago because the false alarms outweighed the benefits. Haven't had a ticket since then. I personally feel that not having a radar detector forces me to pay more attention to my surroundings as well.

Also, glad to hear I'm not the only MS3 that hits triple digits on the daily commute :). One benefit of not having to be at the office until 9 each morning is considerably less traffic.

I'm with Buck on the car thing....my Fusion Sport is much more easy to drive fast and not draw attention. It's my daily.
