Tire Recommendations - 2006 Honda CR-V

My wife's CR-V is going to need new tires before the year's out and I've started researching some replacements. She's got Yokohama YK520s on there now and they're acceptable. They're not cupped or anything and they are noisy as shit on the highway and ride a bit hard, so I want something different.

Big thing for us is quiet ride and good in rain/snow. She drives about 7000 miles per year so I'm not worried about longevity really. Performance is obviously not important either.

I've found these (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Sumitomo&tireModel=Touring+LS+T&partnum=165TR6TOURLS&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes&autoMake=Honda&autoYear=2006&autoModel=CR-V&autoModClar=) as well as these (http://ntb.com/tires/sku-detail/Yokohama-Avid-TRZ/P215-65R16-98T-215-65-16/sku20679.s?pageName=TireLandingBySize&skuId=sku20679&activeTab=1).

I'll send a message to Derek obviously, but I was wondering if there's anything I'm missing as far as a good tire.

Michelin Defenders are a very good tire. We sell tons of them and I've yet to hear any complaints in manufacture quality.

Also during August at Tire Discounters we're doing a $60 mail in rebate on the Yokohama Avid Ascends. Pretty sure it's the ascends. DEREK should be able to correct me if wrong.

He's at the Reynoldsburg Store.

I'm at the Marysville store however I'm a service tech and only help out up front when needed

I put a set of these Yokohama AVID Ascends on my RX330 a couple of months ago and I love them so far. Super quiet.

Thanks for the recommendation, but they didn't do too well according to Tire Rack.

In san fran this week but back at it Monday.... defenders are certainly my goto tire for crv's in general

Great looking tires, but that's a lot more than we want to spend.

I put some Firestone Destinations (RWL :fuckyeah:) on my wifes' Odyssey to replace the factory Michelins and they have been some of the nicest tires to drive on. Great grip in emergency avoidance maneuvers, quiet, great ride, and they wear really well.

Got them for a great price on TireRack, IPS put them on earlier this year.
