TTQ B4U
Looking to carry 4 full size bikes on the back of our minivan. Please point me towards a good hitch and more importantly a nice bike rack if you have one to recommend. I had a nice bike rack on my SUV years ago but that was a much larger version than what will likely be mounted on a minivan. Insight appreciated. Skinner
Reese makes good hitches. Also Uhaul sells and installs them (uhaul branded). as for a rack I have always used thule racks.
Aaron
I bought the saris 2 bike hitch mount that holds the bottom of the tires and secures to an upright. Great bike rack, just doesn't have a lock integrated in. http://www.roadbikereview.com/reviews/review-saris-freedom-hitch-rack

EROtero
http://www.saris.com/catalog/racks#&sort=2&filter-9=on&filter-4=on I prefer Saris products, well designed and lifetime warranty. You can get them locally at roll: on Lane Ave, Polaris Pkwy, or Main St.

I'll look to get a hitch installed and will likely go with the following as it's compatible with our van and a smaller hitch. Kawboy1647545515
I have this unit which is a lower end alternative: http://m.sportsauthority.com/Allen-Deluxe-4-Bike-Hitch-Mount-Bike-Carrier/product.jsp?productId=3383480&ci_sku=5449479&ci_src=17588969&gclid=CIC_s6Pq4cUCFQUPaQodCRkAzg&gclsrc=aw.ds I did have to make some mods to it in order to make it fit the way I wanted and up until now I've only hauled 2 full size and 2 youth bikes with it. They also have a model for smaller receivers.
Jewtoys
Eh a hitch is a hitch. I went with a cheap Curt, no issues. I have a similar bike rack as above, haven't used it yet though. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1212/4798801/9950206/411250610.jpg
Sturg1647545502
Not sure how quickly you're needing the rack but often times they're on CL.
LJ
Go see Mike at the Morse Road Uhaul for the hitch.
Radio Flyer1647545514
Getting an REI Visa card for this and signing up for their membership might be a good idea. They give you 100-125 for getting their Visa and you get a dividend which you can redeem for cash back in Jul of the following year. Also check out leftlanesports and the clymb for good deals. Thule has a few different options and they're good quality.
bmwohio
I have the older version of this, and has worked great for many years. I like the feature that is folds forward so you can open the tailgate, I've even done it with the bikes on the rack during a trip. http://www.yakima.com/shop/bike/hitch/doubledown-4 The Saris one where you put the wheels in is a very good choice too, a few of my friends have that one and it's very easy to use.
