how to keep your backup camera clean

ok guys, this has been driving me crazy for a while now and I was hoping someone has a secret to keeping your backup camera clean when it's raining / snowing / etc.. outside. With Ohio weather sucking so badly, it seems like 6 out of 7 days a week the camera is too dirty to use. Any secrets? I've tried topcoat F11 and that didn't help at all, also wax and rain-x... no go.

Hydrophobic properties only really work when there is airflow present to move the water off. It's a design thing. Best practice I have had over the years used to wipe off the cameras as I leave my vehicle and or approach it getting back in
