Jack flash ought to check this one... http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/4641805089.html

09 sv650, fully faired, 500 miles, 5k. Could probly get it for 4500 and sell his bike for 3k come spring.

I was just passing by when I thought I heard my name.

It's a nice looking SV.  Only 500 miles is both good, and

not so good.  A bike needs to be ridden to stay in riding

condition.  Friends with mechanical experience and riding

skills have mentioned they would prefer a ridden bike with

miles, as opposed to one aged but hardly ridden.

I like the looks of the SV, but it leans me quite a bit forward.

Higher bars would appeal to me.

Money is scarce for now.  My car is costing me many U.S.

dollars for repairs, lately.  My motorcycle is still going strong.

I might as well repair my bank account and ride what I have

for a while longer.

Thanks for the thoughts, Josh.

fast low miles 2002 Yamaha fz1 - $2850

http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5260261403.html

If Brian doesn't like that one, this one would work out, too:

Honda CBR f4i 2001 (Great condition) - $3000 (Garfield heights)

I have a great condition, fuel injected, Honda CBR 600 f4i

$3000 firm

Has 2 LED light strips under the tail and brand new front brake pads.

Aftermarket Yoshimura Exhaust

You're going to have a hard time finding cosmetic damage.

Runs very well.

Great on gas.

Really gets up when you open it up.

2009 Ninja 500.  Fine bike, and an easy sale in the spring.

Or, if you want more bike,

 2003 Yamaha YZF600R Under 7K Miles! - $2500 (Chagrin Falls)

http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5263654918.html

For 2500 (not even counting any negotiating you do) it's an easy flip for profit in the spring.

I checked out the yfz600 in Chagrin Falls last night.  Runs ok...was owned by a kid.  Many circle burnouts at the end of the street and new back tire on it now.  Me thinks dad took sons' bike away and that thing was beaten hard.  Choke did not work to keep the idle up when first started...Im guessing one of the circuits in a carb not working properly...needs taken apart to be right.  Could be a decent flip with a little elbow grease but wasn't one I'd own.

If anyone does that, be sure & check second gear.  They go bad on yzf600s if not taken care of or abused during the 1-2 shift.

Not sure if this is allowed due to my non existent post count, but this is a bike I picked up in a combo deal thinking I would get into track days. That's realistically not going to happen any time soon.

Thats a good price. If there is nothing wrong with it I'd go for it. I had an 01 and really liked it. Never gave me a bit of trouble. Saw in pic that the stator cover was scraped up. I had the same thing with mine when I got it used. I took a random orbital sander to it(actually had to sand out the Honda imprint to get rid of all the rash), fired up the bike to get it hot, hit it with some high heat paint and it looked great. I did this just before i traded so i cannot tell you if it stood the test of time. I have also done it to a gsxr i flipped, again it looked great. I say go for it. Gets you on a good bike for cheap is my thought.

The thing with pre-2003 F4i's is that they were still Honda's race replica. As a result, they're not as comfortable as the 2003 and beyond models that got much more street-friendly ergonomics from

The factory.

Not a reason to avoid it, but unfortunate given its likely use.
