vf1000ride
Can't hurt to hit route 421 "The Snake" It's another 33 miles and 489 curves worth of good road.

MeefZah
From Youngstown I would find 800 and run it all the way to the river, cross on the Sistersville ferry, WV 18 down to US 33, US 33 all the way to the BRP, BRP all the way to the Smokies / Deals Gap.You can make Roanke VA at the end of Day 1, and knock off the other 300 miles of the BRP on day 2.With the exception of a small portion of US 33 this is all very nice, twisty, 2 lane; and also excepting US 33 is lightly trafficked.Once down there, I concur: 441 through the Smokies, 28, Cherohala Skyway, US 19 into GA... hard to go wrong. SquareHead
FYI, I believe 441 from Gatlingburg to Cherokee is still closed due to a landslide. If I remember correctly, it was going to be closed for some time. Anyone know anything different?

Between working too much OT and the lousy weather, I've only been able to get out a few times so far this year.Hopefully that will be corrected come April. 2talltim
Im going to call this the more bang for your buck loop. It includes 28, Warwoman, Blood Mountian, 60 to ducktown, then on to T.P., across the Skyway, up 129 to the gap(if you ass isnt kicked by then hit the dragon down and back) and head back to Fontana. 320 mile loop, never done it all at once but ive hit most or it.https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Welch+Rd&daddr=N+Carolina+28+S%2FUS-19+N%2FUS-74+E%2FGreat+Smoky+Mountains+Expy+to:US-23+S%2FUS-441+S%2FUS-441+Bypass+S%2FSylva+Rd+to:S+4th+St+to:GA-28+S+to:E+Savannah+St+to:State+Route+180+to:GA-9%2FUS-19+to:GA-60+N%2FMorganton+Hwy%2FOld+Hwy+76+to:TN-68+N+to:TN-68+N+to:N+Carolina+143+E%2FCounty+Rd+1116%2FCherohala+Skyway+to:US-129+N+to:Woods+Rd&hl=en&ll=34.673876,-84.010391&spn=0.171951,0.308647&sll=35.442771,-83.925934&sspn=0.170339,0.308647&geocode=FaeuHAId5fkA-w%3BFSC9GwIdD9MF-w%3BFcy8GAId2w8I-w%3BFTjSFgIdH3sK-w%3BFc0lFQId954K-w%3BFdAyFAIdHXIH-w%3BFcbsEgIdEeT_-g%3BFRxfEAIdPfT--g%3BFTt6EgIdrfz7-g%3BFUV6FgIdX2_4-g%3BFemiGwIdJ6r5-g%3BFcNFGwIdNhAB-w%3BFSknHQIdanj_-g%3BFXywHAIdYv0A-w&mra=mi&mrsp=13&sz=12&t=m&z=

SquareHead
Thx will avoid that, how's the RT , do you feel the weight at all once we are in the twisties?I think the RT feels great going through the twisties. I am a pretty aggressive rider, like to wheelie, etc. Going through the Dragon, I am usually not holding up traffic with fully loaded luggage. It's the best all around motorcycle I have ever owned and I have owned a bunch of them. Low center of gravity with the boxer engine.
