  2. Hi, in Cincinnati I'm known as Waffles. Sometimes that's a good thing, and sometimes it's a bad thing. Depends on if you knew me during my SRT4 days. I joined the home owner club awhile back, and haven't had anything real fun for the last couple of years. My daily is a 2009 MazdaSpeed 3. Photography took the place of cars for awhile so I have some pics of new ride below... http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7046/8688068079_0e1fe1ef7d_b.jpg Vette by jrtakesphotos, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7044/8688068153_3243d187c9_b.jpg Vette by jrtakesphotos, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7046/8689186408_6e5ba826c5_b.jpg Vette by jrtakesphotos, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7044/8689186462_f40af5023d_b.jpg Vette by jrtakesphotos, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7048/8689186550_612a0f029e_b.jpg Pics of the new Corvette by jrtakesphotos, on Flickr 2008 (LS3) Z51, 6 Speed. I had the windows tinted and roof blacked out a few days after bringing it home. Intake/Exh/Tune hopefully soon. Thanks!

  5. Our corporate office is up there, and I have several accounts in the area so I make it up there pretty frequently. I'm also North of Dayton quite a bit due to my lady friend being up there.

  11. As far as I can tell, you got a 'warning'. no points, no infractions, a simple 'hey, could you stop' and to be fair, you were breaking the rules. Are you really upset that someone asked you to stop breaking the rules? The point is, that every time a lady joins this site, everyone jumps on with the leghumping and whatnot. I agree, we take care of our established members pretty well, but I think its a bad representation of what/who Ohio Riders really are when every female intro thread is like that. I'm not saying whether I agree or disagree with the way it is moderated, I am simply saying that I don't get why we, as a group, get so out of control when a chick makes an intro thread - it makes no sense to me. myyyy baaaad. "show me your cock!"

  13. I agree, but for the most part, guys don't post "show me your titties" in every (non intro) thread started by a chick around here, so in essence, I think that a modification of behavior is already occurring by creating a first impression that the guys here are disrespectful to women - when generally they're not. Sooooo, why does everyone think its ok to be shitty to women in an intro thread (even if they post hearts and smilies)? And beyond that, you're issuing a double standard. The ladies of the site almost never (I won't say never bc I can't realistically prove its never happened) pop into every dude intro and say, "show me your weiner!"... I can imagine that would make some guys uncomfortable enough to leave, and some would laugh, etc, a similar response that the ladies who join give. But, we don't do that because its not a behavior that we partake in for other threads. I really can't explain why everyone gets so ridiculous in an intro thread when that is not the general behavior of the site. And I agree with you on your policy of welcoming new people. I don't generally hop in and welcome people unless I think they're going to be a contributor to our site.

  19. I would seriously consider taking a good portion of 555 off that route, that is just not a safe road to ride for many, especially this time of year. My 2 cents.

  21. I have my own welcome policy. Unless I know you ahead of time you are not welcome until you prove yourself by the content of your contribution. We have had some real dumbfucks that took hard work to modify their behavior or drive them off. Why welcome them only to wish you hadn't. I'm not much for modifying the group’s behavior in the welcome threads either. The group is what it is and artificially modifying its behavior in intro threads is dishonest and boring. Fraternities, sororities, branches of the military, police departments, MC clubs etc. don't modify their behavior for the new folks, they fit in or they don't. People that are thin skinned enough that they can't make it through the intro thread won't be adding much to the rest of us anyway.

  23. lots of people talk about riding in the Hocking area, which I wont argue has some great roads. However there are some really epic riding roads to the east of there as well. St Rt 78 is one that has some really great views and great pavement, it was clean when I rode it 2 weeks ago, Another alternative is St Rt 83 it was very clean as well.

  31. Not one person, including yourself, has reported a post in this thread. It is impossible for us to read every single post in every single thread. If you think the mods should step up, maybe you should step up and report posts you think violate the rules. It's quite hard to know when someone is offended if they don't let us know.

  32. We men do not have the sensitivities of women. How we perceive comments and talk from other men is not how it is perceived by women, especially younger ones and ones that have just stepped in through the OhioRiders' door for their very first time. I wouldn't mind having more ladies on the forum. We only get one chance to make a first impression. Let's make a good one. Making them feel truly welcome is the key to having them spread the word among their female friends that OhioRiders is a good place to spend some time. Just as easily, they can say this is a good forum to stay away from. I prefer they come back and bring friends. These women are mothers, sisters, grandmothers, girlfriends, and wives. If we want them to come back, it would not be a bad idea to give the impression that we possess qualities somewhat reflective of gentlemen. .
