Unfortunately, you don't live anywhere me. I'd be more than happy to offer up my '98 CBR600F3 for you to ride. Mostly sits in the garage collecting dust--less than 3200 miles on the ODO. Yes, I know that's a federal crime. Just went thru and replaced the battery and tires, rebuilt the carbs and flushed the brake fluid, so it's not a beater. You wanna figure out a way to get here, you can take it on the Fall Epic Ride and roll out with the SW OH crew. ...but no, it's not a gift. And yes, you have to bring it back. And no, I don't want a pool table.2 points

@Bad324 If you're serious about buying a bike, Brian Mullins (Kanatuna on AFJ) just posted an ad here in Cinti on the CCR FB page for a '98 Superhawk with OH title for $2100. Not a creampuff, but prolly a good deal. And since this thread isn't a For Sale thread, I don't consider this shitting in someone's FS advert...IJS.2 points

It's not about what your bike is worth. That is highly subjective. Go ahead and search craigslist for other bikes listed in the $1800-$2500 range. How your bike compares is very important. '99 F4 for $1800 http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5730285150.html '96 FZR 600 for $1850 http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5676242569.html '07 SV 650 for $2000 http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5697876304.html '06 EX650 for $2000 http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/5698871486.html etc.2 points

When there are a reasonable number of decent paying jobs and the education system to get these 24K people into them. I think you VASTLY over estimate the number of lazy people. They are not lazy, they are fucked the minute they are born. They are being raised by people that were fucked the minute they were born. The problem has been going on for so long that we are dealing with generational poverty now. You tell them to work hard and get a good job...They have no idea what that means. None. Man, we are feeding close to 80 percent of the kids in Elyria three times a day all year long. Those kids ain't lazy, they are starving. Things are seriously f'd up man.2 points

There is not a single person proposing to tax the shit out of low income people. Just make it the same percentage across the board. Remove the federal corporation tax and let the states deal with corporate taxation and keep it local. Then states and local governments can compete to draw business and manufacturing. people have a misconception that hourly rates are the only reason companies move overseas. If you remove the tax burden you can actually pay people well and compete with low wage/quality countries. Magically you do not need all the extra tax money to fund the welfare state because they have decent paying jobs. We have been robbing the rich to pay the lazy for so long that nobody even understands how we got here or how to go back.2 points

Oh yea , and that's a clever way of sneaking in a FS ad on you first post.2 points

I can't talk I do this too. I usually low ball and hope to meet in the middle. I do this because most CL sellers want to jack their prices up and ask way over true value. Plus I hope the flash of cash is worth it to some people and I can get a seal every now and then. I won't beat down what they are selling, I'll just say hey this is what I have and if you'll take it, it will be a quick easy sell. If they say no I'll walk or make a better offer, no disrespect or trash talking.2 points

If you can only make one, I'd shoot for whichever fits your schedule or has a better forecast. I'll be there Friday evening through Sunday. Camping is covered by N2. Bring some cash, they are having a fundraiser auction.....Last year they had some pretty good deals; I scored a set of chicken hawk warmers for $150 or something close. Tools, bike stuff, leathers, track time, there was a lot of stuff....great food, great people, great time...2 points

The other dodge was my wife's cousin, Roger Reuse, car number 74 Roger normally races late model race cars all over the south. They are from Birmingham Alabama, This year, that second car on paper was owned / leased to Mike Harmon racing. They were still out there racing, having fun, but no way do they have deep enough pockets to get a top 5 or top 10 against the Hendick's, elliot's and Penske's. race team. A four year old Dodge is affordable enough to get you in the game at a kinda high level.2 points

New to Ohio Riders obviously and somewhat new to Ohio in general. Figured I would give this board a shot to see who I can find to ride with.1 point

Since I planned my retirement on never seeing any social security it will not bother me. It wouldn't begin for me until 67.5 years old. By that time there will a means test and many will be excluded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Wait what? My actions at Mid Ohio? I havent even got out of medical to ride yet this season since the company change over has us short staffed with mostly new people. Theres 3 Todds there coaching if you had red flags and bad actions it wasnt me I have yet to even ride this season. Hoping to Tuesday but its not looking good. If you've taken anything I've said seriously and gotten offended you are way too sensitive Im not sure I have ever even met you, I assume you're Ohio with a new screen name though by the comments. Still not sure we've even met or what the butt hurt is lol. Guess I need to go back and read old theads when I get time.1 point

If you have a chart to break down the massive USA budget in a chart to post on this forum, I'll look at it. Since we are looking to cut enough funds to buy Bad a bike, I'm sure we can find something to cut! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

You may want to investigate your source. It is one of the more commonly debunked purveyors of BS out there. For example NASA's budget as well as most government research spending is lumped into Education. He drops certain mandatory spending right off as it suits him. Pensions? You do realize he includes social security in there right? You just did the conservative equivalent of a liberal quoting Micheal Moore or The Daily Kos.1 point

Welcome. Older used bikes are just not selling for good value right now IMO. Also, its on the fall end of the season, which is not a good time to sell bikes compared to spring. I'm not sure of the details of the bike(year, mileage, etc), but NADA Clean Retail on a 03 Bandit 600 is right at $2000. I know NADA means nothing on a clean bike (This one looks very clean), but thats how some people consider a bikes value. That bend in the front wheel doesn't help matters. GLWS1 point

This is why I hate selling things on CL. Buying things is almost as bad as it appears most people are on the verge of being illiterate and have no idea the kind of things that should appear in the proper ad like, mileage, condition, location, etc. SMH1 point

Now I'm being serious. 1. You posted my PM last week on the forum. So you and a few others are indeed above the rules? 2. You personally gave me permission to "lambaste". So that offer is off the table now? What changed, turn about not fair game? 3. In all actuality I've been around C.O.R.E. and OR longer than YOU and others. Tell you what, if your man enough to issue a public apology I'll drop the whole thing. At least ONE moderator offered somewhat of an explanation privately, some respect given to him. For the record, I was known as "F4iHank" and then "0hi0" on C.O.R.E. Or you can continue your barrage of insults below. Which by the way is the true form of insecurity.1 point

Brewed a big batch of Xmas ale last night. It's either going to be awesome or horrible. Hardest part will be letting it mature and staying out of it til late November. Luckily I have ten gallons of Oktoberfestbier that I brewed to keep me busy till then.1 point

agreed. we should incite violence against the mods who did this constitutionally unacceptable banning or whatever thing they did1 point

I hate these pulled posts from an existing thread. They are taken out of content and leave both threads lacking a flow that can be logically followed. Over moderators to the rescue again when it's not needed. Since we are here. I have no idea who this OhiO guy is but I keep hearing people saying that he has participated in the past and has even rode with them. Can someone refresh this old mans memory, have I met him? I didn't see him do anything that required banning but there could have been behind the scenes things going on that I don't know about but my instinct tells me that it's just..... Over moderating!1 point
