I'm in 10:00 AM Tim meet you at the Marathon on 83/16 just west of Coshocton 11:20 ish. Right now because it is the first time for most of us how about the shorter 296 mile loop. I'm not certain of this we can decide in the morning.

I may even give them a try sometime in the hopes of reducing the tire expense of riding a stupid 1K on the street. I understand you posted your mileage I was just reiterating how important that information is to others that might overlook its importance to grip being accessed.

Very polarizing tires indeed but I have zero experience with them so I can't pass judgment on them. I am used to the theory of you get what you pay for but I also know that sometimes you are just paying for a name. I am currently getting 1,500 to 1,800 miles out of a rear tire on the street without ever doing a burnout so your experience of getting 5K out of a tire might not translate. I'm sure that the Shinkos are wonderful tires when applied to the appropriate riding style and am glad you have found a tire that works for you. As a matter of endorsing them for others to use it becomes more difficult because riding styles differ so greatly. The grip might be adequate for someone that gets 5K out of a tire maybe not so much for someone that gets 2K.

Yes I do as a matter of fact. The last time I rode it was on your ride that I had to leave early from because of stone pain. I'm going to try it again. Here is another route that you guys could ride if I don't make it. It's 69 miles longer but has a couple of my favorites. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&daddr=40.55418,-81.91735+to:OH-78+W%2FOH-83+N+to:OH-78+E%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:39.6652131,-81.2501509+to:OH-260+S+to:Broadway+St+to:OH-7+N%2F5th+Ave+to:OH-255+W+to:OH-800+N+to:US-250+W+to:US-250+W%2FDover+Rd+to:OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&hl=en&sll=41.314343,-82.020793&sspn=0.00109,0.002411&geocode=FQdodgIdL3Yc-w%3BFcTOagIdWgoe-ynN2lfNrG03iDEYbXf-D6mAGg%3BFfzLXQIdsvog-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFT0-XQIdmjgo-ykZfuQ9syA2iDEWqb68jYBHzw%3BFb6uWwIduuUo-w%3BFQwPWwIdeg8r-w%3BFUqYXAIdGGAt-w%3BFWYbXgIdZmUq-w%3BFRh4aAIduBMn-w%3BFQhOawIdiA0k-w%3BFQkWbgIddC4e-w%3BFQZodgIdinYc-w&mra=ls&via=1,4&t=m&z=8

As close to 300 as I could find I have a project that has to be done by Monday, if I can get it finished by Saturday afternoon I want to get out to ride, the route doesn't matter. This will be my first ride this year as well. http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=OH-83+N%2FAvon+Belden+Rd%2FWooster-Avon+Lake+Rd&daddr=40.55289,-81.91742+to:OH-78+W%2FOH-83+N+to:OH-555+N%2FOH-78+W%2FOH-78+Scenic+W+to:Moxahala+Ave+to:Zane+St+to:OH-666+N%2FN+River+Rd+to:W+9th+St+to:40.33537,-82.0067459+to:OH-754+N+to:W+Main+St+to:OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&hl=en&sll=41.312113,-82.019763&sspn=0.00872,0.01929&geocode=FQZodgIdaHYc-w%3BFbrJagIdFAoe-ynnnMvnrG03iDERaNdSwN8hPQ%3BFfzLXQIdsvog-w%3BFcoYXAIdUxcd-w%3BFUD9YAId_rIc-w%3BFQSOYQIdzsQc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFQp4ZwIdJ60c-yndK5CZDZ03iDFgN9Fbdvi81g%3BFQ5cawIdunQc-w%3BFYz2awIdUPAd-w%3BFQZodgIdhXYc-w&mra=ls&via=1,8&t=m&z=8

Now that I am being ignored I will have to insist that no one quote me lest they be labeled a troll.
-
I am being ignored too as well you asshole. This is the first person to actually tell me that I am being ignored. I need to get banned to make my experience here complete.
-
So you're saying that you need college to become a true liberal asshole?
-
Hey Justin, did you go to college to become a degreed engineer liberal asshole or were you a liberal asshole before you went to college?
-
I don't know what kind of trouble you think you're starting here so fuck-off asshat.
-
Ignore Justin, he is just picking at the low hanging fruit. Are the jack booted thugs going to lock this thread or ban the troll or the stupid people?

What kind of shoot out, highway, back roads, track, drag strip or some combination? I would love to ride along and be a back marker witness to the events. I am a big fan of both bikes and think it would be cool to see them put through their paces.
-
You can learn these things on the street but the learning curve is much longer and the penalty for making a mistake is harsher besides I never said you couldn't learn on the street unlike your incorrect assumption that the skills can't be learned on the track. I could follow some of your logic if you were able to compare the two to give a reasonable explanation of the differences but you aren't giving advice from a reference point of experience just opinion. I find your opinion to be in conflict with actual experience.
-
Truth Best possible scenario Wrong. I had shitty uh-oh moments very often before I made it to a track. Those are a thing of the past now; I can ride a little faster now because of track riding but well within my skill set. I have only had two uh-oh moments in the last seven years that were my fault. Learning to control your bike hardly makes you a snob and I can't see the jump you need to make to get to that conclusion. I try to help as many people as I can when on group rides and don’t think I am better than anyone I ride with simply because I have been on a track. Most everyone I know that has been on a track tries to help others when on group rides so my experience with these folks certainly doesn’t mirror yours. Have you done many track days? If you have we didn't pick up the same skills because I most certainly learned how to handle a dirty corner. I can change my line without upsetting the bike, I can slow down without upsetting the bike, and I can judge my entry speed to leave some in reserve and a multitude of other subtle things all because of track riding. Learning to avoid or recognize hazards that are others fault is something that comes with a mind set and experience but road hazards avoidance skills can certainly be learned on the track.

I don't think much comment on my part needs to take place here. Read the above quoted posts; figure out who the asshat is.
-
Isn't this the normal riding payload?
-
Ignoring some of the more complicated errors (Easy ones in red.) please refrain from accusing others of being stupid if you are going to put your shortcomings in the accusations. It just makes your point kind of silly and hard to take serious.
-
I'm still not 100% on this trip yet (about 85% in) but has a place to go shooting been found in case of wet roads?
-
I understand that now after rereading the thread. I am confused about why it needed to be a PM if he wanted it posted? I think your views on OC are fucked up and prepare to receive a PM stating so.

Your constitutional rights do not trump property rights in this case. Chevy addressed this, no handgun no inform. A LEO can't be expected to know every law and Wal-Mart employees can't be either. Should we get bent out of shape for either discretion? Negative rep for disagreeing is childish; posting PMs is beyond being childish. I don't like Tpoppas stance on OC but do believe he is doing what is best for his business, in fact good for his business. Having one OC customer pissed off is the best course of action for him and meaningless in the big picture. I open carry at home in the yard, at work and to the convenience store by the shop when it's hot outside. I fully expect that someday I will meet someone that won't like it but I won't be surprised about it and I won't be a victim either.

An 80 pound woman, I've got to meet her. Maybe take her boating, you know anything under 100lbs has to be tied down.
