  1. We decided? My best interest?
  2. Never saw anything like that in any of the reviews. One of the things that stood out to me was how planted it feels. The Dynamic Suspension does take a bit of the road feel away though. Like some road imperfections get absorbed before you can feel them.
  3. Riding wouldn't be an issue. Maybe stopping though. Keep that in mind if you go off road. Plan your lines around dips and low spots.
  4. He was already blazing fast. The cigarette was just rubbing it in your face 🤣 Great guy. Passed years ago, unfortunately, due to a heart issue 😔
  5. Mine is the Roadster. It's fully capable of sport riding or touring without any mods.
  6. A (very fast) guy I used to ride with, would break away from the group and find a place to stop. Then he'd break a cigarette in half and light it. When you caught up he was leaning against his bike "just finishing" his smoke. When I finally got quicker and could stay with him I figured out what he was doing 🤣
  7. First real ride on the BMW this weekend. I haven't liked a bike this much...maybe ever
  8. Got out for about 350 miles yesterday for the first real ride on the BMW R1200R. It is an amazing motorcycle, and perfect for a long trip.
  9. So far, possessing information that could incriminate the Clintons has cost more American lives than COVID-19
  10. I've never thought really strong initial bite was a benefit on a street bike. I've gone with less aggressive front pads on several bikes. I'd rather modulate the brake as needed and not upset the chassis. Probably less of a concern with a full suite of electronics.
  11. This or certain pads like Lyndall Gold's will clean rotars.
  12. There are already billions of bars of soap. Wash your damn hands.
  13. If I was over 70 and/or had an already compromised immune system I would be more concerned, and would plan accordingly. This seems like viral Darwinism. I am 0% concerned about the breakdown of society or availability of necessities. There will be treatments for those that have it and vaccines for prevention in the next 3-6 months. I expect the actual virus to be keep popping up in local outbreaks for the next 12-18 months. The bottom line is that the survival rate for healtly people with access to medical care is 99%.

  15. If I still had a suitable bike...

    Ride 2/23

I rode about 150 miles yesterday. The roads were a little dirty and beat up, but the BMW is a fantastic motorcycle.

I'm a decent golfer. But I choose not to.

    Ride 2/23

I'll be riding tomorrow but just for a few hours. Maybe grab lunch and head home.
  19. I've always liked the 1st Gen goldwing gl1000. Specifically original naked versions. They are reliable and powerful for their day....but carbs...
  20. There a few that I've considered buying, but then common sense kicks in and I talk myself out of it. Is it worthwhile to own a cool classic bike from the 60s, 70s, or 80s?...or is it too much of a PITA to deal with carbs, old electrics, and leaky for seals?
