  1. Ewww...gross 🤢 I think my Ninja 400 is everything that people like to pretend a grom is. It's lightweight with excellent manners in a slightly under powered package. ...But...it also has enough power to pass on the highway, and did really well on 1400 mile 3 day trip.
  2. Seems like a nice training tool. But, damn do I have a lot of .22s already
  3. I am not particularly brand loyal, but there are some I avoid. I think the reliability and performance of the actual model means more than the brand itself.
  4. My favorite motorcycles have always been sporty naked bikes with the chops to tour. IMO, this BMW Roadster is the best of breed #nodogshow And twin.

Is @Tonik 's a Right Wing or a Left Wing?
  7. When I burn off these Metzelers, I'm going to put on some Conti Trail Attack 3 (90/10) tires, that are suitable for gravel roads but not dirt.
  8. Your bike has too many cylinders. The R1200R is the only one that checked all my boxes. The R1200RT also got some consideration.
  9. I've wanted an R1200R since BMW ditched the telelever front suspension and the boxer became water cooled in 2015. They have real sport capability and is a legitimate cross country tourer. The passenger accommodations are pretty good too, which is the only real reason I bought stupid cruisers in the first place. This one has everything that I would have picked and more... Keyless Ride Dynamic Suspension Cruise Shift Assist Tire Pressure Monitor Heated Grips BMW Touring Windscreen Modes, modes, & modes
  10. No, but in a moment of weakness I almost bought a 2014 Honda Valkyrie because of that 1800cc flat 6. This BMW suits me perfectly.
  11. Participant trophy for everyone 🏆 It's a 2015 BMW R1200R

The only day I would have been able to go was Saturday, but...wait for it... I'll be driving to Detroit to sign the paperwork on another motorcycle I just bought. I told myself I'd never have more than 2 in the garage again, but I caved, so here we are. BTW, the Vulcan is for sale. I keep trying to like cruisers (mostly for the passenger accommodations) but I just don't.
  13. I wouldn't. Maybe the house is more important than the job?
  14. After years of riding street and training yourself to avoid gravel, you kind of have to overcome that mental block to ride gravel roads. I was surprise how quickly you can ride on gravel with proper technique and tires. You can ride 50-60-70mph on gravel roads even around corners if you have reasonable line of sight.
  15. FN makes excellent stuff.
  16. I'd rather have it in a suitable trailer that is already setup for motorcycles, with a wheel chock, etc.
  17. Appreciate that you'd be willing to let me use your trailer, but I don't have a suitable tow vehicle.
