I am not particularly brand loyal, but there are some I avoid. I think the reliability and performance of the actual model means more than the brand itself.

My favorite motorcycles have always been sporty naked bikes with the chops to tour. IMO, this BMW Roadster is the best of breed #nodogshow And twin.

I've wanted an R1200R since BMW ditched the telelever front suspension and the boxer became water cooled in 2015. They have real sport capability and is a legitimate cross country tourer. After years of riding street and training yourself to avoid gravel, you kind of have to overcome that mental block to ride gravel roads. I was surprise how quickly you can ride on gravel with proper technique and tires. You can ride 50-60-70mph on gravel roads even around corners if you have reasonable line of sight.

I'd rather have it in a suitable trailer that is already setup for motorcycles, with a wheel chock, etc.
