I will meet up with the other riders at Millersburg Speedway. We may have to allow some extra travel time, what with all the trailers we'll have to pass.
Nivin, If I ride in the fast group I will not be leading it. If I am leading it will be a medium-fast, or medium group. Just to clarify. I did not quite understand your post above.
Pulling parallel & centered on the wire only works if your bike has a lot of iron in it. It's amusing how clueless some drivers are about the wires. A lot of the time when I'm sitting 1st at one of these problematic lights a car will pull behind me & leave plenty of room by not pulling up over the wires. When the light doesn't change & I point at the light, then point at the wires, then motion for them to move forward they just sit there with this oblivious look on their faces.
It looks like the crux of the matter is; does Mr. Anderson intend to ride the R6 like the guys that designed it intended it to be ridden. If not, lowering it is a non-issue.
Welcome. Glad to hear you're taking the msf course. You should do fine on a non-supersport 600 as long as you take it easy for a while. After you take the course, you will be ready to learn. Good luck on the walk in. They usually have a few no shows so you should get in. See you on the road.
Simple solutions to your dilemma; Get a separate commuter bike, or ride more twisties. With 8,000 miles on that rear, the way I would look at it is the last 4,000 miles were freebies.
