Dustin -- Could you handle a tire job on a highly polished cruiser wheel without messing it up? Also balancing wise - can you use the "clip on" style weights that mount on the center ridge of the wheel? (Yeah, I'm talking about my big ass Valky beast.) - its the real wheel...

So what are you replacing it with? (Let's see.. FJR1300? ST1300? Gold Wing?...)

I go there most times - buy tires online and head to TU for mounting.. Price is 30 bucks a tire. I rarely have had a problem with them. Once in a great while, the front balance job is a bit off, but when I take it back for rebalance they nail it. (btw - wheel off bike.) So --- 4 stars (out of 5) for service. I buy my car tires there too.

(Loved my old one) - Those bars seem kinda wide. is that just illusion? -Suggestion - throw a throttle rocker on it for the long haul, its nice to have an open palm to keep the throttle open and saves any grip fatigue. +1 for Speigler, great guys.

I'm super cheap on cars, I just hate shelling out big money for them. You know the classic line of finding a car driven by the little old lady only on Sundays? - thats what I go after. My most recent find is a 1990 Accord - 95K miles . Even the body is pretty damn good on it. Paid 2000 bucks. --- heh heh, saves more money for motorcycles and stuff. :grin:

Fonzie - you dont know me from Adam, but on any used car purchase the first thing to do is get a hold of a Consumer Reports book with the used car section in it. (Its available online too, but I think it requires a fee. - find a friend that has it.) --It has "frequency of repair" data for all the major manufacturers. The sections are broken down into various areas - engine/brakes/electrically/body etc. - Its very good for indications of reliabilty. Myself I buy used Hondas - generally grab 'em at around 100k miles and run 'em to 200k miles. Very reliable cars. Good luck

I think there is a fairing interference issue with convertibars in a certain position. You might jump over the VFRD to ask the question. Here's a pic of the LSL job on a 6th.... There's lots of different bars you could try. I think if I had a viffer than I wanted to convert to more of a tourer, I'd do the bar job. (You'll need to buy the longer cables from convertibars.) Your probably thinking 2 up with the wife too? (This is FotoMoto's bike) Other than that, I'm a low bar guy, I have lower than stock 4th gen bars on my 5th gen. I think higher bars make it more difficult to get down for body positioning in corners. Also I find it comfortable anyway.

Maybe we need to write our state reps and senators to pass legislation to overturn this? The noise worked on the "street racing" issue, maybe it can work on the visual speeding issue.
