    New Toy

Ok, I'll be the first to ask. Why a new kickstand?
  2. I will ride Sunday if that is when this happens. I finally have a weekend day off work to get in on what might be the final group ride of the season
  3. Yeah, I don't think anyone would mind giving her and her friend that don't have bikes a ride around cbus...
  4. Alright, I'll play. I put question marks to the things I wasn't sure of, and some things I didn't even want to guess. Keychain on tank of 2006 Ducati Monster S2R 1000 2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 spedo valve stem, could be any bike/scoot 1983 Honda Aero 80 idiot lights 1983 Honda Aero 80 speedo/fuel gauge 2008 Ducati Monster 695 tank? Aero or GSXR keys? 2001 Kawasaki KLR650 2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 CRG adjuster ohlins rear shock off ??? swingarm spool or missing frame slider? 2003 Suzuki GSX-R750 CRG lever arrow exhaust off ??? ohlins front suspension off ??? Rear brake master cylinder, maybe the 2006 Ducati Monster S2R1000
  5. It does sound like a good picture. Although the two are not located near each other currently, I will try to get a little photo shoot going once I fix the Duc up and when we try each others vehicles out (I think I will be getting the better end of that deal). I plan to pull the engine this weekend and assess what needs to be done from there. If I can wrap everything up shortly and there is nice weather maybe it will still happen this year still.
  6. So what that says (on p17) is that, although rare, I can get an original title through having a Bill of Sale only. I assume that is not what you meant, so instead of just posting a 100 page document maybe you could lend a helping hand to the page that resolves said conflict.
  7. I agree 100% with this. I recommend getting a bill of sale, signed by both parties and a witness (ideally a notary but just another person is good for me) and running the VIN to ensure its not stolen. If the VIN comes back clean (with no lien), I don't understand how someone could have a problem with buying it or assuming its a "risk". People still buy and sell older dirt vehicles that never had titles since its really only an issue of registration for street use. If you are afraid of not having enough proof that it is yours to recover it from the police, fear not, you probably won't see it ever again if it gets stolen anyway.
  8. If that's not a sign to stop wearing a bra when you shoot guns then I don't know what is. Reminds me of this gif too:
  9. It looks to be even more efficient than a harley at turning gasoline into sound with those short straight pipes on a v10
  10. ^^ I'd put my money on vf1000ride, looks like it is dead nuts on. The only thing I can tell you is that it isn't from any year 600rr
  11. It could be because the garage I heat is only a little bigger than an average 2 car, but I would have to disagree about the torpedo heater. Technically you are right, that the heat is directed in one way but in practice it ends up heating everything as long as there is no open doors and the BTU's are high enough. My procedure was to go into the garage with a coat and fire up the torpedo heater pointed towards the bikes (obviously not too close). While I was arranging them how I wanted to work and getting my tools out and ready, the local area would be hot enough to take off my jacket and move the direction of the heater slightly away from me. Eventually I would have to either turn on the vent fan or turn off the heater because the entire garage would get too hot (no temp control, only a timer). I remember coming inside a couple times to get a drink or something and indoors was colder!
  12. I am not sure what you plan on doing with the flaming bag of poo, but here you go: <html> <body> <form action=""> <input type="radio" name="activism" value="attend">Attend<br> <input type="radio" name="activism" value="ignore">Ignore<br> <input type="radio" name="activism" value="protest">Protest<br> <input type="radio" name="activism" value="riot">"flaming brown bag full of my own feces" </form> </body> </html>
  13. Just wait around Brown. One of the years that I got SportRider, I signed up to get a different magazine under the same company (missed the 10K mark as well) and after about 2 issues I just started getting SportRider again.
  14. Get this fixed or at least figured out?
  15. Time? I wouldn't be able to get out before noon

    first gun

500 S&W will stop a baddie if he gets in your way You may thing the 22lr felt like a toy, but I have to agree with Mike here. I always recommend 22lr initially to everyone because it gives you a great basis to expand upon, you won't get scared off by recoil and most importantly, the hidden cost of ammunition is quite low. You don't realize how much ammo costs until you try to get serious trigger time and then end up blowing through $100 (retail) in just pistol ammo in a day. With 22lr you will not be discourage and can shoot plenty without tiring and get good fundamentals
  17. Look at the voltage on the battery as well as the voltage while it is hooked up. If it is the battery, you could hook up jumper leads to a car (with the car off) or just keep the tender on it while you try and start it. If its the battery then it should fire up. Do you hear a click when you push the starter button? I always reccomend taking a look at the starter relay because it is so easy to overlook. If you do not hear a click when you push the starter button then try to just bridge the starter solenoid with a screw driver. If it turns over its that and not the charging circuit for once.
  18. Is this an offer for anyone or just Hob? If so how much gas money are you thinking?
  19. No. The girls marrying girls is ok, its when the guys marry guys which will cause the planet to destabilize.
  20. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/2010/yamaha/v-star-1300-tourer/ http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/trade-in/2010/yamaha/v-star-1300-tourer/ It isn't near $10k according to KBB. I can't tell you how the market it on cruiser/touring bike are though
  21. Check the charging system. I had a similar issue once and it turns out that the stator wires were shorted so I wasn't getting any power to charge the battery. It was a champ though, I rode it for miles before it failed, pushed it and rode it some more but it was rough
  22. Haha, no shame! I was originally planning on keeping this through the winter and making it look better aesthetically and trying again in the spring. However the garage is packed with 4 bikes and two cars, I doubt I could sneak another bike in there and would hate to leave one out in the winter.
