And we'll all be paying for this through the nose. This year was being projected as a record breaking harvest year but as it is turning out we are all looking at a huge increase in our food costs. Lately the produce section in our local Krogers has been sparsely stocked with lots of empty bins and lots of what produce there is being very poor in quality. In addition our water table is suffering and I figure the cost of water is also going to spiral upward on a steep slope. Bet your wages don't go up at the same rate.

We desperately need rain down Circleville way. No substantial rain since mid May. I haven't had to mow since May 21. My neighbor says he has lost his crops this year. Its terrible. I heard the NBC weatherman saying it would take 15" of rain to catch up.

Most of the used rifles I found were about $350 and up, but most had sloppy actions and seemed to be very well used. Hope you have better luck looking for a good used one than I did.

The weather was awesome. Ran into rain on the way back but managed to skirt the main storm. Stayed at my mom's place on Grand Traverse Resort. Yep, once you get north of Ionia its all good. We rode up on M-66 to Kalkaska then over to Williamsburg on 72. Its like a different world up there.

The wife and I got back Saturday from a nice ride up to Traverse City and back. It was her first ride where she rode her own bike. Logged nearly 1000 miles. Once again I was reminded that TC is truly God's country. An old friend has a cottage on the southern tip of Torch Lake so we rode over for a visit. It was nice and cool up there even though the thermometer said it was in the 90's. Even considering the snow they get, that is the one spot in Michigan I would seriously consider moving to. I highly recommend it as a vacation spot if you love the water.

It took 5 years of schooling and 8000 documented hrs of working with a licensed journeyman electrician to get my journeyman's license. Seems that is proper training. Every month I had to be evaluated by the journeyman and the evaluation had to be signed and turned in. Then to get my license I had to take a 300 question test from the state, and pass it. Lots of paperwork...

How about someone swerving over into your lane while they were texting going 70 mph on 270? My wife has had that happen more than once. Its bullshit and should be outlawed with an extreme punishment for doing so.

Imho anyone caught texting while driving should automatically lose their driving privileges forever. No compromise, no excuses, no ifs ands or buts.
