  1. Thank goodness at least the skill level of the cleanup workers is high. http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/10/07/20849414-fukushima-worker-accidentally-switches-off-cooling-pumps-backup-kicks-in?lite
  2. I agree with the gang assault charge. Doing something violent in the presence of a motivated crowd is a different and more serious act. It can easily spark riotous behavior.
  3. I have a membership at AIMHI mainly because they're the closest to me. Was there again Thursday after work and enjoyed it; no headache afterward and the guys are friendly. I did have a bad customer service experience 10 years ago but that guy is gone. I used to be a member at Blackwing and thoroughly enjoyed their trap range as well as the indoor rifle range. I just didn't go enough because it's far from Westerville and I can't figure out how to comfortably pack my Beretta 391 12G on a motorcycle. :-D
  4. Oh I bet he'll be the most popular squiddie in NY now.
  5. Well, there is no constitutional right to arm bears, you know.
  6. Ok got it! We gotta get that "Lay Your Ground" thingie. Does it work as well if I'm the one being assaulted?
  7. Hehe, he said supplicant...
  8. He's not the only one guilty of drawing conclusions based on initial, incomplete reports... ;-) Heck, I'll join the knee-jerk crowd myself. I wonder if the driver was a furloughed government worker?
  9. Hopefully only after funding a highway through the Vogon home world - damned Vogons.
  10. As one of it's parents then, we can hope it makes good life decisions... And be the best darned evil space dragon it can be...
  11. Or, perhaps the purpose of humanity is to evenly radiate the surface of the planet so that the egg can hatch. To which we're doing a bang-up job.
  12. I'd be down for that, but yea, the collection would be impressive I'm sure!
  13. Technically small calibers with low velocities, small bullet masses, and high angles of incidence would be deflected by a helmet's surface, but those aren't regarded as self-defense loads. I seriously doubt a fiberglass shell and foam inner would do well against a .45, 9mm or even a .38 or .380 round coming at it, even with as much as 30 degrees of incidence. Anyway, the main perp conveniently took his helmet off...
  14. As a species, we suck. It's anybody's guess if we'll survive the next 1,000 years.
  15. Really glad to hear. I considered it a couple times myself and was feeling a little guilty about not speaking up. I could have taken him in a bind but my job is sometimes so busy that I don't know how much quality time and leadership I would have been truly capable of. Breeds like this need strong, compassionate, patient and ever-present time.
  16. What I find fascinating about the video is that it's from the perspective of a motorcyclist, and hints at the emotional energy that rapidly changed. Grasshoppers into locusts.
  17. I honestly can say that none of my friends, lib or con, think Piers is anything but a twit.
  18. There is something to be said for a guest bike...
  19. Yea, and me about getting rid of my venerable VStar with pullback risers, nearly buffet-less windscreen, highway bars, mustang seat and full soft luggage set! Maybe I should just build another garage :-)
  20. That's fair and I'm positive I personally will have to customize any bike for my particulars.
