It's an Ad-Hominem Fallacy and is indicative of lazy thinking. Both sides do it in spades, and its ripping the country apart IMHO. Sorry for being an ass about it but IMHO the problem with 'Merica today is exactly this kind of hypocrisy. Government is nothing but a naked reflection of who we allow ourselves to be as individuals. I rarely commute on the bike. Everyone's half asleep, in a hurry, thinking about other stuff, fumbling with their phones and coffee and food and getting kids to day care. When I ride, it's usually after people are at home, eating and working in the yard.

I'd personally put it at $150-175 in this market, but yea, its hard to say. Others know more than I do but I saw that Enfield buyers usually are 1) picky collectors looking for a deal but willing to buck up for special pieces, 2) milsurp fans willing to shell out 100-200 for a cosmetically good, great shooter, or 3) someone looking to sportsterize a cheap hunting platform closer to $100 plus goodies.

I appreciated your story. For some reason I'm digging more mid-sized, lighter and less-performant air-cooled bikes these days, at least for in-town riding. I've been teaching my GF how to ride her 125cc scooter and ya know, it's actually quite a hoot to zip around on a 250 lb bike. I'd gladly pick up a GS500 or lighter for the purpose. Oh, and that review had my GF and me in stitches - too funny!
