  1. Not sure how it works where you’re at but in my county they let you know ahead of time that you have been chosen to serve. With that notice they mention you can write in to request to be removed from the summons. I have written in 1 time and they sent a response to let me off. I didn’t have a wonderful excuse either it just was horrible timing for that time in my life.

  4. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to ride a cruiser. Long story short - my brother in-law is out of town and needed me to load his Honda Shadow in the bed of his truck. I rode the thing from his drive to his side yard. It felt so weird to have my feet in front of me and my weight on my back side. The thing steered like a pig. No thanks.
  5. Took the chintz Conti-Motion off the front and put my 7k mile Roadsmart 3 back on. Just riding down my drive I noticed the bike was smoother. When I got up to speed from what I could see in the dark and feel through the bars there was no more shaking. Contacted Rocky Mountain to see if there was anything they could do to help me out. Nope. Not upset at all it’s only $60. Often you get what you pay for. I guess I have just been fortunate in the past with the Contis. Lesson learned.
  6. Tim thanks for all the input. That’s exactly what my pump looks like. I looked up my bike on high flow website. It doesn’t seem to come with a pressure regulator replacement but I will contact them tomorrow and see what they say. Thanks again.
  7. My regulator is definitely on the pump. I have read at least one situation where a guy replaced just the fuel pump but it did not fix the problem but when he bought the whole assembly from Honda, fuel pump, regulator altogether it fixed it. It sucks basically the pump alone I could get for $70-$80 but the whole OEM Assembly is around $300, and that is doing some shopping around.
  8. Tim what was your pump doing when you replaced it?
  9. My only fear is that it may be the regulator? It’s my understanding the regulator is built into the whole unit. Thoughts?
  10. Thanks for the response Pauly. I’ve ran them before and never had a problem. I’m going to contact Rocky Mountain and see if there is anything they can do.
  11. I Rode it 500 miles. It definitely was a bit chilly but had a blast. Pretty sure my fuel pump is on its way out. Squealing like a pig like the 1 I replaced last year. I’m going to have to get off my wallet and buy a new one instead of a used EBay replacement. I also need to sort out my front tire. I’m not sure if me being cheap has once again come around to bite me or not. I mounted Contimotions and the bars will shake like none other. I’m not sure if I need to just balance it or if it has issues. @Pauly I seem to remember you had some issues with these. Am I correct that you came to the conclusion the tire was just junk?

    Ride 9/29?

My last trip was down WV250. I’m going to head towards Marietta is my guess if it’s not too cold. Have fun gentlemen.

    Ride 9/29?

I noticed the weather as well. I’m up in the air as well. I hope it comes around as Saturday gets closer.
  14. Sorry I will never put an animal above a human, especially my own child. Send that cat packing.

    Ride 9/29?

No suggestions here really. I’m coming from way up in NEO. I’m used to riding a ways before I get to anything good. I’m game for whatever for the most part.

    Ride 9 /22

What were the roads like Rick after those storms rolled through, or did they not hit you guys? I wanted to ride today but my other half squashed that last night.
  19. Glad your helmet did it’s job. Heal up buddy. I’m sure you’ll be back at it again next year.
  20. Sorry to hear this happened to you. Pray you have a speedy recovery and get the bikes all sorted out.
  21. Mounted a set of Contimotions because I needed to replace my Roadsmart 3s and $150 to my door sounded good enough for now. Took a quick test run in the dark at 8:30 and they felt a lot smoother than my 3s with nearly 7000 miles. I’ve ran conti’s before but never on the 1000. We’ll see how they hold up.
  22. I would but since we share the same birth date it just wouldn’t be right.
  23. Dan I’m sorry you had to derail your big trip south, but I’m glad you’re feeling better and back on the bike from my last read over on adv.
  24. Tuesday everybody’s mommy called and complained to the superintendent when we had school. So, my school decided they would contribute to raising the softest generation ever in America and cancelled today. I took advantage of their softness and took a ride. 154-170-7-WV2-WV27-WV88-WV250-WV310-WV50 into Maryland. Once I hit Maryland I punched in Home on the GPS. I had to get Home in time to pick up my girls from practice. I rode 550 miles, only bummer was I rode over 200 on the slab. It was cool to hit roads I have never been on and add Maryland as a state I’ve rode in. WV 50 between Grafton and Maryland is a cool road and whatever backwoods road my GPS sent me on to get to 68 definitely had some sweet spots when the road wasn’t all cobble stoned.
