  1. If I include the amount of money I gained from the tax break last year I basically got the same back.
  2. I must have done something wrong on my taxes. I got less back this year.
  3. I ordered some things online from Pony. They have some good deals right now. I picked up a pair of Joe Rocket Nova boots for less than $50. They remind me of a pair of Joe Rocket boots I had before. Not the best boots but for $50 I like them. I also grabbed a pair of IXS textile pants for around $70. They’re the best pants I now own. I also grabbed a $40 Vega chest protector for the quad.
  4. I keep hoping Roczen will pull off a win, but it doesn’t seem as though it’s going to happen.
  5. What about you Jim? Any thoughts of getting back on 2 wheels?

    2019 Gap Trip.

It’s not the last day for students. It’s the last day for teachers. I make an appearance then sort of disappear, but I have to show up and wrap the year up.

    2019 Gap Trip.

I made mention of it to my wife. I’m a maybe at this point. My last day for school is the 5th, so it is a possibility.
  8. I finished watching the mud fest last night. I think they mentioned the next 4 events will be in domes. I’m looking forward to that and to see if someone is going to start to establish a win streak.
  9. Is it a good time actually at the events? I keep telling myself I need to go see 1 live, but never follow through.
  10. I’m watching. I haven’t finished watching the last round yet. I DVR it because I’m too old to stay up and watch it live. Usually I have watched all of the race by this time during the week but the mud fest is not as interesting to me.
  11. That’s a great group of guys in that photo.
  12. I can’t believe that passed tech. I wouldn’t ride that on the street let alone the track.
  13. Maybe if the kid who peeled the original dealer sticker off my 2015 Silverado could have used this my brand new truck would not have needed the tailgate repainted. Instead he wrote his name in the clear coat with a metal 1.
  14. I have had these for about a year and a half now. I probably have about 11,000 miles on them and 1 or 2 track days. They currently are the only boots I own. The only thing that I don’t like is they are not water proof. I got them for less from Riders Discount. The only damage I see is on the left boot sole, pic below. Some scarring on the inside and 1 of the red inserts is gone. Sole seems to be solid still and the rest of the boots look the same as the day I received them. I’m happy so far with the boots. I’m guessing they’ll last at least another year or 2, maybe longer. When I bought these Mike was still working at Riders and suggested another option was the Sidi fusion. It was a little more expensive and me being cheap, I chose these.
  15. Thanks guys I told my wife you would know. How long of a haul are we talking time wise?
  16. Not the same as renting but my wife is looking to get an air B&B the weekend of February 16th. My daughter has a JO volleyball tournament at the Convention Center. She has found a place 2 blocks from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and one in West Jefferson. Which one would be better?

    Sale

I’m cheap so I don’t mind waiting. They often beat the best price I could find by $40 or so even on items that were below $200.
  18. 1 of my buddies actually text me today and we now have tentative plans to head down the Thursday before Memorial Day. We are planning to ride Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We may make the drive home Sunday after riding or leave Monday morning. It looks like we are going to try out the Devil Anse trailhead. If that sounds like a plan you’d like to get in on let me know. 2 of us would be on sport quads and 2 in sport utvs.
  19. I might go. I could probably could get at least 1 more guy if not 2-3. When you thinking of going? How many days? Which trailhead are you thinking?
  20. I personally have been on sport quads to Rockhouse and Bear Wallow I believe we’re the names of the 2 trail heads. Rockhouse I believe was the bigger system and well it was rocky as all get out. Bear Wallow was not as rocky, but both are rough on your machine. I recommend going over all suspension, bearings etc. Plan to inspect everything again when you get back as well. I personally ride my quad similar to my bike I like to ride fast, so you may minimize wear and tear by slowing down if you like. Rockhouse is based in Man,WV there were quite a few places to stay. I did not plan this trip at all, the guy that did got us 2 houses/trailers essentially and I think there were around 20 of us or so. Bear Wallow didn’t seem to have as many options. There were only 4 of us and we stayed at a campground with cabins that were not accessible by road vehicles. We had a good time there, it was kind of cool to be out away from everybody. This was probably close to 8 years ago, so I’m sure a lot has changed. When we were there last you could tell the trails we’re bringing in money and things seemed to be growing around the trailheads. We always went at the end of April or first of May I believe.
  21. Showed this to my wife and she said “that’s not the same guy”. Nice work man.
  22. Message sent. Thanks Tonik
