  1. Update New York = upstate? The rest looks great. Thanks for doing this Jim.
  2. Thanks for the heads up Jim. I’m never near Millersburg. I typically try to control myself near Woodsfield. 556 is a bit troubling.
  3. Rode it to work so I can take advantage of the nice weather on the ride home. Thinking heated grips or gloves might be a nice addition for 40 degree morning rides.
  4. Be sure to confirm this cost once it’s all said and done. That’s cheaper than my last ticket.
  5. Jim what roads were you on? I agree with @Tpoppa I typically don’t see any LEOs except on highways and towns where the speed is below 55. I did earn a mandatory donation this year on 22 where it is only 2 lane but I was not necessarily shocked to see a state boy patrolling there.
  6. Rode the bike to work today. The ride in was a bit chilly, but ride home was great to forget about high schoolers. Continued my work on piecing back together my quad. I put the case back together the other night. Tonight I put in the oil pumps and the gears that drive them. I also installed the balancers and the primary drive gear. Thankfully I took a look at the starter clutch that came with the used flywheel I purchased on EBay. It was trashed so I swapped it with the one I had in my flywheel I broke. Hopefully I will have everything pieced back together soon and I’ll just be waiting on the piston and cylinder to arrive.
  7. Never turned it on all day. Wish I would have for that run on 536.
  8. $300 too much to replace all plastic?
  9. I'm the guy Brodie met with his daughter at Deals. He is a good dude. It was great to see you on Saturday Brodie, sorry I had to take off at the scheduled time. I was pressed for time.

    Silly riding.

Q I understand your frustration here, but my first thought is whatever floats their boat so be it. If it brings more attention to 77 surveillance and similar slabs that's okay with me. Hopefully the law will focus in on the slab and leave the twisty state routes alone so I can continue to enjoy the corners you speak of. When I'm on the slab I typically don't break the 10 over mark so not much concern for me being that unsuspecting fool. Secondly I'm sure there are plenty out there that think what I/we do in SEO is bonkers, so I try not to judge others actions much.
  11. Had a chance to push the RS3s today on 377, 676, and 26. Somebody mentioned they were curious to see if the tires would live up to the claims made about them. As far as grip and feel I think they are great. They don't stick like a Q3 but I never felt uncomfortable at all today, and I rode it like I stole it at times. The only question now is longevity. I can tell you I have 1400 miles on them so far and they show little signs of wear. They definitely will out last the Q3s I killed in 2000 miles.
  12. Made it home safely by 4 as promised to my wife. Sorry I couldn't hang out to meet up with everybody nor ride with anyone. It was great to chat with all of you that I was able to talk to. Brandon it was really cool to see you again definitely a small world. Hopefully sometime we will get to ride together. Maybe we can make it work out so that I will also finally get to ride with Pauly. Hope you guys had as much fun as I did. Put down 490 miles in about 8.5 hours.
  13. I plan to be in New Concord to meet up with you guys. I'm not sure how much of the route I'll be able to run with you guys. I'm going to be cutting it close on time. I need to be back in Jefferson by 4.
  14. I'm planning to ride Saturday. I might be able to meet up with you guys. Once the route is determined and we get closer to Saturday I'll be able to confirm.
  15. I personally was pretty much forced to give up riding when my wife and I had our second child. We both used to have our own bikes. She got rid of hers after the first born and then told me to get rid of mine 18 months later when the second came along. She was wise to tell me to give it up. I was young, dumb, and had very little idea of what I was doing. I did negotiate getting a quad as part of the deal. We both ended up with quads and had a great time with them. I still missed the bike, however. (I injured my self way too much with those quads. I would argue they were more dangerous.) After some time she lost interest in the quad and 1 night we were sitting on the porch swing and a crotch rocket went by and I did my normal neck snap to watch it fly by. She responded with if you want sell my quad and get another bike. About 2-3 weeks later I was trading her kfx400 for a 01 F4i. I fell in love all over again. It was like I got a second lease on life and it was way better than the first. Back in the 90s I was not trying to access the web to find roads to ride as I began to do after a couple months with the F4i. I took my first long trip the day before Thanksgiving to Wheeling, WV. I had the day off, her and the kids had school. I never told her what I was up to. I sent her a picture at lunchtime of the bike under a Wheeling sign. Little did she or I know that would lead to me discovering a love for all day rides to SEO. Then I did some trading and swapping around to end up with a 600rr and discovered OR through 600rr.net. Through OR I have learned and ton and have greatly improved my skills as a rider. Now I jump at every chance I get to head out on all day trips either solo or with guys I've met through OR. ^^^ That is great summary of how I feel. I love riding to the edge of my capabilities keeping in mind I have 2 girls and a wife at home that want me to come back alive. @NinjaDoc I can relate to what you're feeling. I kind of feel that way about 4-Wheeling. I have lost the itch some, but I keep the quad around to ride my track to try to keep my fatness down a bit. Occasionally my buddies can convince to give up a weekend of riding the bike to hit the trails with them, but I prefer the bike for sure. I sure hope you don't give up the bike. You're the only guy I know that is within an hour that likes to ride my kind of ride.

    Birthday

Happy Birthday, birthday buddy. I turned 41 today. Today wasn't the best day but yesterday was pretty good, I got out on the bike.
  17. I'm assuming you're talking about my big mug appearing in the video. I saw it. Can't remember if you can hear what I said to him.
  18. I actually told Derek he should move to the Dragon and change his career to filming guys riding there. I told him it would be a great career change.
  19. He was. I was right behind you 2 and enjoyed watching every second of Derek following your every move. I'm still impressed.

    Oct 7 Saturday

My daughter's team won their 1st volleyball game, therefore, I did not get out until after 1. Still managed to get in about 300 miles and got home before 6. Had a good time even though I had to deal with a jacked up Harley Davidson Ford trying to keep me from passing him on 170.
  21. Thanks for the offer Brian. I live in no mans land AKA Jefferson,OH in Ashtabula county. No where near Columbus or any city for that matter. I pulled the flywheel with a 3 jaw puller. Ruined the flywheel in the process, but it's off now. What's an extra $200 on the rebuild right? I feel like a moron. My buddy told me once before we have to pay for our education at times. I guess this is 1 of those times.
  22. Do you have the parts to make the gsxr a street bike? If so, you could cross off 1 want. You would have your desired street cred and a larger bike for wheelies on the track.

    Trigger cranks

I don't own a gun. You guys work that out however you need to. I don't have any answers for crazies. I don't know that more regulations is the solution. Just leave speeding regulations out of it. No need to start a war on fast motorcycles. ?
