If it wasn't 4hrs away I'd be there. Hope it's a great turn out again.

Just a heads up that brace will probably beat up the bike a bit. Not that you probably care too much. It is a dirt bike after all. I just know mine has wreaked some havoc on my quad and has put holes in my riding pants.

As IP said good man and smart man. I've been there. Last year shortly after I swapped out the plastic on my bike my daughters' 4H advisor stopped by to have them sign some papers. She placed her folder on top of my tank and as she was shuffling through it I could hear the dust and grit writing her name in it. By the time I thought to say something it was too late. I know my eyes about popped out of my head but I never said anything and just buffed out what I could and called it good.

Man Jacob sorry to hear this. Hope it's minimal damage. Get a go fast sticker and put over it. Nobody will ever know.

I am very interested in this. I probably could come take a look at it this weekend if that works for you.

Another thought for tent/shelter at the track. I have used my ez-up wrapped in tarps multiple times for Atv trips with friends. Just placed the ez-up over the trailer, wrapped it in tarps , and threw an air mattress on the trailer bed. Slept through more than 1 storm with no issues. I'm thinking this may be the route I go when I head to mid O this year.

Harley probably had the best 1 when the husband hides in the closet. I did enjoy the high 5 as well.

Boy I just looked at this thread and makes wonder if I really want to do the track thing. I'd be pretty ticked if a CR cut me off like that and said it was my fault.

Good answer Connie. @Qman did you end up with a ticket? I've always wondered how something like this would pan out. Based on @jschaf's response I now have 2 correct answers to give if I should ever encounter such an incident.

My family shops at Aldi, we like most of their stuff. Some of it is not great but we just try different things and then if it turns out it's crap we don't purchase it again. It always amazes me that they can get their customers to return all their carts with that little quarter locking device they have on each cart.

Welcome. I live in Jefferson and work in Painesvile. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow as well. Depends on if the roads dry up decent.

I hope your not delivering it to meet a guy at some high school near Cleveland. I've heard a bad ending to that story multiple times. However, if you have good insurance go for it. You'll probably get more for it than selling it.

I believe the VIN check Tonik posted is only Ohio. Here is another site to check I have used it a couple times. It goes through insurance records. https://www.nicb.org/theft_and_fraud_awareness/vincheck Good luck. Hope it all works out.

@whaler below are 2 of the 3 companies I have personally used. The 3rd had nothing for a ninja 250. I would use any of them again. When I ordered these I always used my credit card through PayPal with the thought that if I had an issue I would let them fight it out. The only problems I had were small blemishes in the paint. Tiny run or so in clear coat, something of that nature. For the most part though the bikes looked like new when I was finished. If you want pics let me know. As far as fit goes my personal opinion is it is the installer. A couple years ago I picked up a 2008 600rr that a kid had tried to install some of these eBay specials on and he said they sucked. I took it home and in 30 minutes it looked great. Unfortunately he was missing all the left side fairings, hence my first China purchase. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gloss-Black-Complete-Injection-Fairing-for-2008-2012-Kawasaki-Ninja-250R-EX250-/231695606014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fairing-Fit-250R-EX250-2008-2012-Injection-Molding-Plastics-Set-08-09-c12-/231693993518?fits=Model%3ANinja+250&vxp=mtr&hash=item35f209c62e

I've ordered 3 sets of Honda fairings on eBay that all came from China. They all looked great and fit well. None were perfect but I did not expect perfection for $350-$375.

Ohio Riders Unofficial Mid-Ohio Track Day - August 21, 2017
durk replied to TimTheAzn's topic in Track is Crack
Never. My daughter took a 150 mile 3 hr ride with me last summer on the rr and handled it like a champ. We are going to trailer to Deals then ride the area, so no need for the sport tourer just yet. Plan is to take some longer rides with her in spring before we head down and see just how long we can ride before we can't handle it anymore. -
Ohio Riders Unofficial Mid-Ohio Track Day - August 21, 2017
durk replied to TimTheAzn's topic in Track is Crack
I'll still be more of a street guy. I enjoy my long days in the saddle and my oldest daughter is taking a real liking to riding with me. So much so that for her birthday I surprised her with a promise to take her to Deals Gap this summer and a riding jacket. She called it the best gift ever. -
Ohio Riders Unofficial Mid-Ohio Track Day - August 21, 2017

1 of them does Doc. I remember reading it on one of the websites last year as I was looking for gear and prepping myself for a future track day. I just can't remember which 1 it was and it was only for novice of course. -
Nice work Jacob. Is that thing going to even see the street, or are you only hitting the track next year?
-
Doc thanks for sharing. This was great to watch and forget about the 18-24 inches of snow I have outside my door. It was great to see a post from you. I thought maybe you had an intervention or something after confessing your addiction to the forum.
-
May just do that. Thanks

My plan is to take advantage of 2 free sessions once at PIRC as you mentioned and I picked up a mid-Ohio cert for the discounted rate . I figure this way I'll get to experience 2 tracks and not spend much cash Thanks for being kind Tim. I know that day I rode with you and jschaf that had you 2 been leading I would have been farther behind for sure. Thanks to to all of the others for the encouragement as well.

If that is your Sunday drive cornering I'd hate to be racing you on Saturday. I've never been on the track but I plan to give it a go once or twice this summer. I know there will be no photos of me cornering like you were in any of those I looked at. Makes me realize how much I have to learn at the ripe age of 40.

I'll definitely let you know when I plan to go Jacob. That's good news on the certificates. Thanks
