  1. That's probably something they learned on the internets.
  2. This thread is getting to be how I go camping - In Tents.
  3. I guess after spending all the money on making 900HP and a transbrake no one thought it would be a good idea to fab up a better bellhousing or at least a freaking blanket???
  4. I'm starting to feel a bit better about just going with TurboTax. The main thing that concerns me is that my wife cashed in some bonds to pay off school loans last year and I wanted to play with filing together or seprately to see if it's any better one way or the other. I guess I could probably run it through TT both ways before filing to make up my mind.
  5. Yeah, I have always done them myself (TurboTax usually or something similar). I'm just worried about it this time around for some reason.
  6. If you go with a 700R4 for top end runs make sure you get one with either a manual valve body or one that doesn't kick out of OD at wide open (Some GTA spec valve bodies I think??). Otherwise it'll want to drop back into drive past a certain throttle input... not so great for balls out high end speed. I would assume most high-$ 700s will already have this addressed, but if you piece it together yourself on the cheap, don't forget that part.
  7. This year will be the first time I have ever needed to do anything but a basic 1040EZ and I'm definitely having it done for me. Not for a business or anything, just because I bought a house and will be writing off what I can. The issue is I have heard from many people one way or another on whether or not H&R Block (or similar places) really do a good job of running down all your deduction possibilities. Some people I have talked to said they do a great job and found all kinds of stuff that someone doing their own taxes would likely miss, where others insist they could have done as well or better just filing their own taxes and would go to a CPA or something next time. I certainly want to make sure I'm getting this stuff right the first time. What has been your experience with H&R block and similar companies?

  9. Yeah I love those cars, however I really enjoyed this burnout in one of Mike's "other" cars: http://www.teamjegs.com/media/jegs_burnout.wmv It's no street car but 1300ish N/A hp + Sandusky St = Smoke
  10. Pantera - Fucking Hostile Even though I'm not an F-body squirrel I used to enjoy all the F-Body Hideout videos floating around the webz. Most of them were really well done and would almost always have this song playing at some point. Very motivational.
  11. I think they had it on rotten.com. I'm sure I have seen it somewhere. It's pretty messed up, but not as bad as the Dwyer incident.
  12. I assume this is based solely on ad revenue? maybe potential ad revenue based on traffic? jegs.com is only worth $119,158 according to them.
  13. I'm not a Spade nutswinger, but I'd be happy to have 1/2 whatever he's made off of Joe Dirt... Let alone all the movies with Chris Farley. I'd be greedy anf buy myself 50 AR-15s though.
  14. It's good to see that Hollywod doesn't always turn people into sackless hippies.
  15. I'm betting 10:1 that it's because they were "trippin' balls" when it was conceived.
  16. 13/17 here also. It was a mix of Pontiac and Olds engines that got me.
  17. #4, Front Row. I dig periwinkle blue and stick on name tags. Blanch FTW
  18. Yeah, I saw the entire first season and most of the next. I lost interest after a while because it's really not my kind of show, but I think that he and Minnie Driver did an excellent job of acting. They both do a pretty good southern accent for a couple of brits.
  19. It'd agree that it's worth checking out. I refinanced my last Mustang with 2 years left to go. I just called up the bank the existing loan was through and told them I'm shopping around to refinance and they came back with a decent offer. As mentioned above, just be careful not to extend the term much (if any) or you're flushing money away "buying a lower payment" rather than actually saving money. When I did mine my goal was to reduce it $100/month. They took the interest down 3 points (it was already not too bad) and tacked on another 6 months and we were there. The longer term made a little money back for them, but got my bills down and still actually saved me a little off the total of the payments.
  20. I have a fair amount of gunk in my coolant and my heat has been lukewarm at best, leading me to suspect that the heater core may be partially gunked up. These vehicles sometimes have issues with the blend door which would cause it to exhibit the same symptom, but I figured I'd start with the easy solution since it should be done anyway. Anyway, I've been super-lazy and now that it's -40 degrees out I think I'd rather just pay someone rather than deal with cleaning up the mess and freeze to death. The problem is that it seems most places with a machine want around $100 to do it, which seems crazy to me. Anyone have access to a machine and feel like making some money/beer/both on the side?
