Pretty much this, but I live a few blocks north of Henderson and it's just peachy up here too. I had a negative image of this area compared to what the uppity people consider Clintonville, then the reality of what we wnated to afford set in and we looked in this area. Found a house we fell in love with and we haven't looked back. Great area really. If you don't like super dense housing, you will probably want to stay out of southern Clintiovlile; south of North Boradway, especially between High & Indianola, and west of high south of maybe about Como. Most of east of Indianola isn't too dense. To the OP I would actually highly suggest to look in my area. North of Cooke, East of high. Typically smaller houses so right sized and cost I think for you and very, very close to your work. UA/Grandview is nice too, just a little bit more of a drive to your work and I don't think you are gaining anything from a neighborhood perspective. There are a lot more apartments/townhomes in those areas, so if you find a house too difficult to find or expensive to find a house, there is probably a benefit from rental density. Houses are typically more expensive there, so I imagine renting a house should generally be more expensive. Having said that, it seems like El Karacho's rental cost is about in line with this area. Feel free to drop me a line and I can show you around Clintonville if you want.

Probably some bored house wife who needs to stay the hell out of my neighborhood and go live in the burbs.

It's pretty well accepted now by everyone who's not an idiot that sex is not just a male or female thing. Biologically there is a big grey area. Anyone who looks at this woman without the makeup and doesn't think she is white has a screw loose. Are we just witnessing the first time a white person tried to pass as a black person to get a job and it happened in the age of social media so that's why it's such a big deal? P.S. look up passing if you don't get the nuance of what I'm talking about here.

I can't imagine anyone has a detection scheme for this. No real way to 'sense' that there is air in there. So no, I don't think there will be a lamp. I don't know every other ABS makers exact detection algorithms so I can't say 100% for sure. I'm not sure what it would gain you anyways. When that air eventually gets out into the 'normal' part of the brake fluid circuit, it would make the pedal spongier. Maybe at first until that happened, when the ABS tried to work it wouldn't work as well. It would seem strange to me that any part of the ABS unit would be above the master-cylinder. You always want each next part of the circuit to be 'downhill', or else it's difficult to impossible to bleed.

The issue isn't generally if you get air into the ABS unit, it's if you get air into parts of the ABS unit that aren't normally open to the regular fluid flow path. The air can sit in there and eventually get into the 'normal' part of the brake fluid circuit. If you get a bit of air into that part of the ABS unit, you may be able to activate ABS a few times to get the air into a part of the circuit that's in the normal flow path. I worked at an ABS maker doing testing for about 8 years and we rarely worried about cycling the unit during brake system parts swaps. It's usually only necessary if you are putting a dry ABS unit in or like Scott said, leave it open for a long time. Once our ABS test units were wet we just put screw caps on inlets/outlets when they were out of the car, then put them back in when we needed to test that unit. Even if you didn't bench bleed the air from the master cylinder, it should only introduce air into the 'normal' part of the ABS unit. Bench bleeding the master cylinder probably helps more for the generally bleeding process than anything, just like in a non ABS cars, it's can be a PITA to get the MC to bleed in the car. The in valves are normally open and the fluid normally flows that way. Normally the ABS unit just acts like a brake fluid line for you. Unless it activates then fluid flow through the part of the unit by the out valve, pump, reservoir. This is the part where air can get into that's bad. When you 'cycle' the unit, this is where we are trying to get air out of and fluid into. http://www.wiringdiagrams21.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/AcuraRSXABSModulatorSystemSchematicDiagram.jpg

Need it short notice? I would try Home Depot, Lowes, Microcenter. I can't say for sure they have it, but I've bought spools of regular wire form one of the big box 'hardware' stores. I would be really surprised if one or all of them don't have what you are looking for. Try to make sure it's CL2 in wall rated. I would feel more comfortable with running that under carpet & in walls. If you have a few days to ship. http://www.PartsExpress.com or http://www.MonoPrice.com Monoprice has some really useful parts to clean up the wiring where it comes in and out of the walls, if that's your plan. Look at the keystone plates and jacks. Also as an FYI, low voltage doesn't need boxes in the walls like high voltage (120). Harbor Freight has some cheap and decent tools to run wiring in walls, in case you don't have any of that yet. The install I just did in my living room would have been impossible without them. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=fishing+tape http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=fiberglass+wire

5th gen camaro's have staggered wheels?
Trouble Maker replied to starkmaster03's topic in Passing Lane
Just to play devils advocate, the overall tire height on the new pony cars is huge. Stock tire height on that car is 28.x". So, theoretically, you can put a 24" wheel on the car and end up with the same height, if the tire existed. Hell, it looks like the option up wheel on that car was 21" wheel. I'm not saying it looks good, and the 26s on the back look even worse. Probably because the overall tire size is bigger than stock. The front looks ok. If he would have just used the same size in the back, I would have seen no issues from an ascetic stand point. Not my cup of tea, but I've seen a lot worse. -
Does it have the eco-boost & electric vacuum pump? I think there were a lot of issues with these. Coworker had one replaced in his IIRC 12 F150 3.5L and the dealership had a hard time sourcing one because they were in very high demand. Finally he traded up to a 14 or 15 (whatever the last year for the non aluminium body) and they changed over to a mechanical vacuum pump. https://www.google.com/search?q=ecoboost+electric+vacuum+pump Just some info. Since it's under warranty just go in and say 'My brakes don't work, fix it!'

How much $$$ is acceptable for this hobby?

Well, with some very quick crude calculations (simply based on my overall payment to initial loan ratio), you'll be at about 70% of that with a 2.5xgross yearly salary loan. You would also be at 32% of net take home per month. Now, if you get a 2.5x house, but put 20% down, you're 'only' at 26%. But assuming $100k/year salary that's a $250k house with $50k down. It seems to me not many people have the discipline to do that. We are at about half of that % and I can't imagine doubling our house payment and feeling comfortable. To be fair we bought an old house and are putting away money to do renos, fix things that break. I guess that's kind of part of our house payment, but I also didn't include anything like that in any of the above numbers. Let's use the same $100k salary and go buy a $30k new car with 0 down and a 5 year loan. Payments would be $540/month and house payments with my very crude estimate above would be $1875 (assuming no money down $250k loan). 100k / 12months x 70% (crude estimate of take home after all taxes) is $5833. Now you're at about 40% of your take home going straight to house loan and car payments. Or really 45% of every 4 weeks pay, which is what most people are taking home most 'months' at most jobs getting paid every 2 weeks or even every week. And that's crazy. -

The problem is, for Clay, that's 7 potatoes. Even worse, for me, that's been 0 potatoes while I've been working on other financial goals. :fa: -
Carl is a more secure man than I am to be able to admit that.

In before a Joe anti sport/Buckeye fanatic rant.

I mean, it just depends on how many miles you can rid a day. Me right now? Probably a month. :fa: When I made a 'plan' to do Cincy to Columbus, that I've not done yet, I was going to do 2 days, bike-packing and camping about halfway. It was completed to about 90 miles at that time, is probably 100 now. That seems like a reasonable amount of miles in a day to me, but I've never done a long distance multi-day ride. That mile/day rate would get you done with Columbus-Cleveland-Columbus in about a week. I'm sure someone in good cycling shape can do much more than that per day. FYI, Google maps has cycling directions and trails. I don't think this takes where the path will end up because enough of it isn't there yet for Google Maps to default there, but it gives you an idea. Cincinnati to near Columbus, this would cover the part that's finished.. 'easy' weekend ride with camping at Caesar Creek.

Dude, I've been trying to get Joe to get a mountain bike for years. He would love it. Just like Joe, let me know when. You just have a road bike right now? You can drive over to my crib and we will go hop on the Olentangy trail. Maybe have the women meet us down around Campus, downtown or the Autobahn park with some lunch. They basically have from Cincy to Columbus done, and a good bit of Columbus to Cleveland done. I really want to go bike packing on that trail at some point. http://www.ohiotoerietrail.org/Maps.aspx

If you really want to see organized chaos, go run the race for the cure. Let me know when! You need to get a bike so we can go do a 'fake' tri; canoe, run bike. :megusta:

Drove an SQ5, which has the 'same' trans and shift strategy, using timing & fuel black magic on shifts to move the revs quicker. It really is a hoot to drive and it's a great transmission. Great looking car. I'm sure it will do great as a daily up there, especially with a set of snow tires on it in the winter.

Coworker said his dad got a very lightly used, almost new, one for a relative song a few years ago, and just traded it in for nearly as much as he bought it for. He said the market for those is crazy right now for some reason. Just second hand info, but it may be what you are seeing. Good luck with finding one!

Grandview Mercantile offer you a bunch more than $450 for them? I love walking through that place.

Well, it looks like he's had about a dozen post in the last year with the last one in January. So you might be waiting a while if he happens to not have email notifications turned on for PMs. You would probably be better off seeing if someone here can put you in contact with him. Sorry, I don't really know him personally or I would.

This, so much this. Get rid of that SAAB ASAP, sounds like it's a ticking time bomb.

Take that dealership job. Any wagers on if/when we will see a post from buster saying he needs a new job because Sears shut down the location he was working at; 6 months, 2 years?
