  1. I'm not real familiar with newer bikes, nor would I be buying one. I've ridden liter bikes from the early 2000's and they are more comfortable than any 600 I have ridden. I am more interested in a sport touring style bike though, like an older CBR1000f Hurricane. Idk what it is about those bikes, but I have always wanted one. I also like the naked bikes, like the Hornet.
  2. The next time I buy a bike I will likely get a 1000. Not to measure my dick, or to race it, but because I am more comfortable on a bigger bike. Also, I don't like extended swing arms, I think they are ugly and it makes it harder to corner.
  3. I took the family out to crown plaza last night as well, lots of very nice cars there.
  4. He hardly drives it honestly, I think it still has less than 10k miles (only real distance driving was a Mustang tour of Europe where it was signed by someone in the Shelby family [Carroll had already passed by this time], and the drive back from NY). It mostly just sees track time. He also has an 07 Shelby GT500 Super Snake that also really only sees track time (I hear that car is a handful at mid ohio).
  5. How is this difficult? Have you seen the movie where Tom Hanks throws a bachelor party? Seems like a good guideline to me.
  6. My buddy's dad has a 2015 GT350 in black, I think I like the blue better though. It's a hell of a car for sure, sounds like you got a really good deal too.
  7. You looking for a drop in and go setup, or something that might need freshened up?
  8. Hanging out in Myrtle Beach with the family today, happy fathers day to all the dads here.
  9. If you decide to go the 3v Mustang route one thing to consider is I bet you plan on doing your own work where you can. Iirc these have the 2 piece spark plug design (can be a real pita if they decide to not come out in one piece), but there is a kit for removing the stuck piece.
  10. Welcome! Love the vague intro. People may ask for pics or for more info (what you have, mods, interests, ect), just ignore them.
  11. I don't know if any of you on here are on the Facebook group, The Wrenching Network, but here is a story about how a bunch of us on there are helping a guy recover and transport his fathers car to him so he can restore it. https://jalopnik.com/the-incredible-story-of-how-total-strangers-are-helping-1826408595
  12. :dumb: Doing it for the kids = :fuckyeah:
  13. I agree with most here, a Mercedes, BMW, Audi, ect. in your price range should fit the bill. But I can't help but wonder why you would be interested in buying a car to impress people, why not just get what you want?
  14. Pretty sure the long block is the same.
  15. If you weren't so tall you could pick up a cheap rx7 or miata shell to swap.
  16. Fair enough, my statement was meant to be taken as more of a statement about gun laws in general.
  17. Lawmakers: These are bad so you can't have them anymore. Criminals: Ok, I'll turn mine in. LOL.
  18. I don't know the market for these currently, but I think it could probably go for more.
  19. Not sure of the laws in Texas, but I believe in Ohio amything over 50cc you have to have a motorcycle endorsement (not sure about bicycles that had a motor added though).
  20. Thats a good price. My dad has an 03 dyna low ride and it is a very comfortable bike.
  21. This. Intake, downpipe and a tune should help with it feeling slow too.
  22. What about a ctsv and a beater? Not sure of the current market for the ctsv (pretty sure a gen 1 could be had for a decent price if you can find one thats not hoed out) but it would be quick and comfy.
