Oil/filter change on the RT. It's ready.

Goldwing alternator gave out last fall. I replaced it with 90amp unit. 13+ VDC at idle. Way better than OEM 40amp. Oil/filter change will be wrapped up this weekend.

Liking the silver wheels.  Where did you get them?

I should say..."new to me" wheels... got them off a low mile 2006 VFR... from the VFRW forum...

I'm on the VFRD and VFRW forum groups every day... (here too for the Tonik and Pauly comedy hour)

Most guys are gear heads there, quite a bit of talent..guess I resemble that remark..

Direct swap, or do you need to change bearings & spacers?

I have Galespeed forged AL wheels and I'm tempted to have the black powder cleaned off to make them silver.  You're not helping to save me money on a project I don't NEED to do!

Please DON'T post pictures when you have those wheels mounted.  🫣

BTW, I'm on Cols, not too far from IronPony and I can mount tires on those for you.  My price is beer which you drink with me, and you get your hands dirty too.  Mounting tires seems like it requires 3 hands...

Direct swap..wheels on VFRs from ''98 to '09 are all the same..

You may be able to soda blast the powder off....dunno...

I am a fan of your Bandit...

I may take you up on tire mounting...-- warning, I'm a beer snob..:p

Just sat on one of these at a dealer.

I could def live with one of those at a sporty tourer.

I've already talked to a couple of powder coat guys who said they can chemically remove the black.  I'd just have to punch out the bearings and disassemble the front caliper holders.

If I'm buying, it's craft IPAs.  If you're buying, I'll try anything.  I haven't found too many that I wouldn't finish!  Although, lately I've been drinking more bourbon than beer, but I can't afford to become a bourbon snob!  Lost 25 lbs though.

I might be a bad influence, then.  I can show you more "cool stuff" than you ever imagined to spend your money on.  🤪

Finally it stopped raining long enough to get outside and change Sunny’s oil.
Im leaving on the 21st for a week long trip down to Appomattox Virginia to attend the Horizons Unlimited Traveler’s meeting.
There in addition to camping and hanging out with like-minded vagabonds, I’ll also be giving my first solo public presentation about my travels, and will also be doing a reading from my chapter in Sam Manicom’s travel anthology “the Moment Collectors”.
Then the next day I’ll be doing a seminar on modifying and maintaining DR650 for extended international travel!

nervous as hell but I’m sure it’ll be fun.

And yeah Tony, this spring has sucked bad. Very few nice days.
Really looking forward to the ride down.
Staying at Mark Swepston’s in Kingston Ohio the first night out.
Second night will be at the Koolwink!!

hope everyone is doing ok
