Home safe as well. 550 miles today. I'm tired. It was great to see everybody. Thanks for putting this together @NinjaDoc. Thanks for leading me around most of the day @B-Mac. Great riding with you as always @TreeFime. @Skinny guy (Rick) I hope you enjoyed the ride home. It was great to ride with you. You handle that BMW well. We'll have to ride together again sometime.

Great day. Thanks for putting up with me Durk&TreeFime. I had so much fun. it was nice to meet so many riders. Also thanks to Derek for the highway upper body workout on 78. You are my personal highway strength trainer. Doc, I enjoyed the ride home to the Hock. Got home splashed water on my face and drove the wife to Lancaster for dinner in the car like a madman. my sense of speed was still on 78.:D

I have no idea what you are talking about.  No-one on OR goes triple digits.

Hi Riden, I enjoyed our 536 dance of the Z's with you. Nothing happened on 78 just riding a un-faired Z1k standard with a strong headwind can wear this old man out, a little.;)

Derek thanks for the photos! Looking forward to the video, that drone is sweet!

Thanks for everyone that came out, whether I got to talk to ya or not. Its always an Awesome ride/time for me!!!

804.5 miles is what I ended up with. GPS took me through some back roads trying to find highway ones at night. It was an interesting ride home in the dark. Somewhere on some road in the middle of nowhere (literally) I rode past a Strip Club? I cant remember the name of it, ill have to look on google maps and try to remember the roads I was on and back track it, but LOL

Anyhow, later ya'll . . .

Glad you made it home.  I still think you're crazy riding all this way and riding home, but I've been to Michigan so I understand.

I think I know the stripclub you're talking about, just can't name it.  Near Sandusky or coshocton?

It was on a north bound road. Or running at a NW angle. It could've been on 250, 302, Bates rd, 13, 511, 89, 99, I cant remb all the roads. Somewhere between Ashland & Wooster?  I tried googling it and nothing pops up on a back road, only major/minor cities. Anyhow had to battle fatigue, drunk drivers, deer, shattered wooden pallet in the middle of the road, etc AT NIGHT with my high beam aimed goofy. First gas stop on the way home, I tried to adjust it, but the knob just turns and the beam doesnt move at all. its aimed to the far left. low beam was aimed just a tad DOWN too much. Something is stripped or broken tabs, I'll take the front end apart and figure it out.

Just going through some preliminary footage of me chasing @NinjaDoc around.

Here are just a few screenshots to wet the appetite.

Always a good feeling when you come over a hill and power into a wheelie.  Don't stop Nivin! haha

wheelie 2

And lastly, I'm not sure why I selected this one in particular, but it just represents us as motorcyclists and riding twisties.  The full concentration, getting to push the limits, the adrenaline rush and just the outlook of knowing the road ahead that gets us excited.

I escorted Doc to Hocking Hills after skipping the meal in Caldwell. I Hope he made it to his destination, He seem tired. I went to dinner later and could have sworn I saw Doc with a pack of Harley Pirates at a local watering hole. He had a Vest on with "Property of Neil Ubich" and his new biker name on the front was "Love Doctor" I hope he comes back to us soon. I would hate to see him operating a Aid Station at Sturgis next year. :dunno:

Ahhhh... so that's what he meant when he said 'before he gives up 2 wheels'.

Back to civilization, finally some connectivity :)

first off sorry to all for being late. The one thing I am always proud of was being one of the first in every epic ride over the last few years and that too is gone now.

Story starts if by me getting a last minute trailer and ghetto rigging it and carrying the bike so I could travel with family and make a family vacation out of this as well. Since all plan last minute and in the hurry and trying to get things sorted I forgot the T I was supposed to wear and even the go pros. Any ways at least I didn't muck up the canyon dancers which I almost managed. Thx to @TimTheAzn for tips on the fly on tying it down :). The morning of the ride tried to take the bike out and it wouldn't budge from the HF wheel "choke" hold.  Man wish I had a GoPro running to record the next one hour of frantic circus. Which I could just make it black and white and upload with no sound. Would beat any Charlie Chaplin movie in a heart beat. Finally with every disassembled parts of HF flying every where, wheeling the trailer up and sliding the bike off etc, u get the picture. May be not.

Anyways, it was great meeting every one. Wish I was at least on time if not early to get pics of lot of folks. Some of them I pretty much see only once a year at best (looking at you @bubbies ) but thankfully the ride proceeded exactly as it should. Every one who came in were good exp folks who know the drill. Groups got organized by itself, no confusion, even got to take a group pic, and we were on the road pretty much on time. Close enough. Lol

@Scorpion-Ninja ur most awesome for making this huge as trek all this way without a break. Hopefully next year u get at least couple of riding buddies so the trip is some what safer and more fun. Plus u might need help getting out of that club on the way back. I owe you a dinner and one of these rides it will happen. plus may be get you that T shirt as well.

and finally thx for following me around and getting these pics @DerekClouser very rarely I get to be on the film. Learning points are immense watching yourself be a asshat rider :) I hope you guys had fun. I was still not 100% back yet after my gravel mishap, u must have noticed my pattern of excessive slow down and being scared of all suspicious stuff on road weather it's leaves or even shadow hehehe still can't fully commit to a corner without being paranoid and holding myself back. Was trying to fight my own demons and you prolly noticed me being fidgety and anxious and pumped up all at the same time  hehehe,

at the end of the day weather was outstanding, great company and good riding. Even though At time we were doing stuff even OR doesn't approve off. By the end the big boys let there big guns roar and boy there is no comparison to 1K In line 4 going full blast. Even at triple digit and at the top of the lung for little triple and my naked bike shaking all over and my arms getting ripped off, I see you three hoORigans like sail away smooth and easy west end of 78. Missed the zx14 on that stretch. . Even a sheriff decided it was too far away to even turn around lol

@B-Mac th can for the tow back home, that was a good ride. I was thoroughly drained and it was a blessing to just tag along for a ride home.

@max power @durk the talk about quitting I will elaborate more on another topic hehehehe but it's complicated, right as of now the fun is dangerous but real, do t know what to do.

It's the streets.  We ALWAYS need to accept the fact that they are unpredictable.  If anyone gets upset because you aren't going full blast into the unknown, then you shouldn't be riding with them.  Everyone I ride with accepts the fact that if you don't feel comfortable, slow down.

A recent quote that I heard from pro racer Kyle Wyman has kind of stuck with me recently.  "Don't accelerate into what you can't see."

Great street advice.  If you aren't sure what's ahead or around the corner, taking it at a reasonable and safe speed seems to be the only reasonable answer.

Honestly, I had an incredible blast chasing you around trying to turn 2 bikes into 1.  Probably some of the most fun I've had on the street recently. Even though we weren't trying to go mach retard (until 78 into Caldwell),  I had a great time working on trailing you and learning your tendencies to get even closer, while trying to make sure I maintained being safe.  Really made me focus on what was going on.  I think it was fantastic practice for the track and learning to hold lines and pass 'slower' riders.   Even though it's not legal, I think removing my mirrors has helped greatly too.  I've always been a chronic mirror checker and not having mirrors let me focus more on what was in front of me.

I think @durk had a blast watching me mimic your every move.  He seemed about as excited as I was at the end of 536.

I sure did. I'm glad I pulled the pass the same time you 2 did. I made sure I kept pace with you 2 just watch you at work Derek. Nice riding - both of you.
