I just saw one in the shop worse then that. 2004 camry 70k on the clock. lady asked what could be done. it was either 3000 to put an engine in or 500 to clean it plus sign a waiver.

 

this was not out of my shop. just one of the shops i do business with.

Auto Techs say "pay me now or pay way more later". It costs like what $29 - $35 to have someone change your oil & filter every 3k miles. No excuse for something that ridiculous really -

Then they get pissy when I refuse and tell them that if they want to neglect proper maintainance of their vehicle they'll have to do it on their own. some people...
