300hp, RWD, for under $25k? It's no G37, but it's close and for $10-$12k less.

 

Again, maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm just happy to see some reasonably priced cars entering the market. I mean hell, anyone can excited about a $45-$90k car, but to bring a following of people after a $25k car....that's taking a challenge head on.

im def interested to see how they do.. I cant stand the front of it, but who knows, maybe itll grow on me... They 'copied' the wrong car on that one...or maybe for once they tried to design on thier own

Yes and wouldn't have a problem having one as a DD but really nothing beyond that. I currently DD a 03 Elantra GT and have had no problems at all with it.

I really want to like it. It has a winning recipe...rwd, turbo, fair price, i like the way the ass-end looks but for some reason I hate it. I see cheap piece of crap written all over it.

It wouldn't be on the top of my list for a GT / sports coupe.

 

It wouldn't be that far down the list either.

 

I honestly think that they're going to sell the crap out of these cars if they live up to the hype. An sporty front engine, rear drive coupe with a decent amonut of power and a decent price. No offense to the front drive crowd but hopefully alot of them convert and see the light of how enjoyable a great sports coupe can be to drive. I'm guessing they'll get alot of their business from potential eclipse owners who see the light of having the drive wheels in the right place.

 

I just wish it was about 250lbs lighter and I don't care for the front end styling. Still think they'll sell a ton of them.

Yes I would probably drive it. It's an inexpensive RWD coupe that's practical. As long as it handles as well as they promised, insurance rates don't become ridiculous, and the aftermarket keeps growing, I would definitely consider one as my next car.

A lot of the weight also comes from the 6-8 air bags it likely has, all the sensors and safety systems and tire pressure monitors and all the other stuff required on new cars today.

 

For the cost I think they did a good job keeping the weight where it is....and Yes I would drive/own it.

Id like to test drive one. I wouldnt buy a new one. And I would wait a while to see what issues other people have with them. But yes, I would drive it.

No, the 4-banger for under $25k.

The V6 starts between 25-30k, and sedan from 30-40k

MSRP 25k for a bare bones v6 6-spd. then theres always always negotiations and rebates at the dealership. you could probably get the v6 for <25k
