just wondering if anyone else got a hand written letter in the mail , saying they want to buy your house (even thought its not for sale). I find it a little weird

i passed a yellow sign hanging from a zip tie on a pole that said the same thing but it was written in black sharpie...i found it odd, not weird...just odd.

Yeah I have got those "hand written" letters from someone trying to buy your home. They are not hand written, you can see the marks from the printer. But they are normally re-finance companies or people that try to flip homes. I just laugh and throw them away.

Though I will say, there's this one house on Dublin RD that I really really like. If I had the money, I'd knock on the door and ask if they were interested in selling...

I bet it is a scam, see how you immediately wondered if it was legit? That tells you it is a scam, you need to work on relating those two feelings.

I've gotten two of them in the mail on the same day. Exact same "handwriting" on the letters, but envelope sports different return addresses and senders.

i got one of these from a HER Realtor. I was suspicous about it... It was actually mailed and postmarked, but the envelope was never sealed.

Or it could be someone "wanting" your house but in reality they want a tour to see what kind of stuff u have so that they can rob u... just a thought of mabey why....
