iwashmycar
Very nice. Moving that fridge helped tremendously!
10phone2
man I feel your pain. Absolute great job. I got the bright idea of putting in side by side windows in our dining room and shit went left but its worth it. Where did you get the counter tops from? Rocky31186
Superior counter tops in Lancaster. They used stonemart in Hilliard for stone options. Edited December 3, 2019 by Rocky31186
Buck531
The remodel is coming along. Slowly but surely. The PM we had from Roth construction was shit canned along with our "interior designer" and the main subcontractor building the house. Now I got a new guy and he seems to be getting shit done. The furnace and water tank have been moved downstairs (we wanted that), all the framing work has been redone. They had to completely rebuild the addition as it wasn't even close to being up to code (previous owner cut so many corners). Siding, windows and gutters have been installed except they put the wrong front window in and the basement windows haven't been installed. The replacement front window and the two basement windows are at the house now and will be installed tomorrow. Plumbing is done. Anyways. here's a picture dump. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk My insurance is paying for our rental house in Strawberry Farms. Oh on top of my brother dying in January, House burning down in June, I got laid off from 17 years at Chase in November. It's been a super shitty year for us. cstmg8
Making decent progress in 2020. Got the vinyl plank down in the basement, hoping to have it done by the fights Saturday. Still need shoe mold, new media cabinet, paint, and eventually kitchenette/bar area. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
10phone2
man I have a new found hatred for patching over previous work. I feel your pain. If had to do it all over again I would have taken the entire house down to the studs. Great progress btw
cstmg8
Well, the joys of home ownership have struck again, two steps forward, one step back. Had some ice damming this morning when we woke up. iwashmycar
We had about 3 homes also experience this. New builds < 2 years old. Was just a really gnarly weather event this past week that really brought out any problem areas.
cstmg8
Yeah, back in my property management days, we had a spell in '09-10ish when we spent a week removing ice from roofs. It's amazing how much water can flow inside in a few hours. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
cstmg8
Wife wanted to switch the appliances over to stainless steel because we needed a new dishwasher and range top. Existing was black. The replacement in wall oven was $2k+, so I bought the face pieces ( door, control panel, vent) for about $350 and switched it over. $$$ Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
Furloaf
That's the way to do it. I've thought of starting a business just refinishing appliances to whatever is currently trendy.
Buck531
So a few updates. The heat is on in the house. Insulated and the drywall is up. They replaced the shitty front window with what we originally had (and wanted). Gutters are also installed too. Beginning to look like a house again. 1Quik7
I'm doing a complete reno to my kitchen/upstairs. What are you guys doing with the trash/byproducts? I pay Columbus taxes...is there some kind of dump or pickup that I can use? The garage is holding all the trash for now.

Went to Lowes and picked up a bag for $50 or so. Filled it up X days later, called the Bagster folks and they came and pickedit up for about $150. http://www.thebagster.com/

I'm in Cbus taxes too but when we did our remodel it was simple and easy to use https://froghauling.com/ We did the 10cu yard one for like $250 per empty. First one was just a 25year dump of crap from the house, the second was the remodel, then the third was the deck we tore down and replaced. I would use them again in a heartbeat. The 8x8 Storage unit was great too. Locally owned company and priced right.
cstmg8
Making progress on the kitchen, backsplash is pretty well finished. Still needs: 1. Caulking 2. Paint the false drawer front under the sink 3. Trim kit for the microwave (backordered) 4. Range hood Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
