I did a thing

Sold the Durango, changed hands then went and bought something I've always wanted.

A Buick .

A Buick Regal TourX. Listed price was 37,060. Got it for 25,000 brand new.

I love it.

Pics to come.

Also, what's the general consensus when it comes to new engines? Follow break in or give it hell?

These are actually cool cars for a daily. I tried to get my wife into one instead of a CR-V, but she ultimately decided the fender "eyebrows" were strange (I kinda agree). Still like them a lot though, enjoy it!

A wagon? Did I miss something?”

If it was any other regal I'd be right there with you. Being a wagon is the only trait that makes it ok, from my perspective. Being pretty and having the turbo motor also helps.

Ha, I can appreciate all of your viewpoints. It's not the most exciting thing or the most desirable thing, I admit but it's honestly exactly what I want because I'm at that point where I just want a comfortable CAR that has the space of a SUV but the fuel economy of a car with AWD.

Wagons were the only choice. I don't trust VW or want the anemic power of the Subarus. This was the best choice and frankly, the only new car I actually wanted. It had exactly what I wanted, I was sick of leather and didn't want all these automated systems, just a motor, transmission, and cruise control.

Pics.

lol buick crossover

since when did CR go to celebrating this type of behavior?

Glad I’m not the only one who looked at the reactions in this thread and thought “really? A wagon? Did I miss something?”

Glad you like your new car.

For a daily, it's pretty damn cool IMO. A lot better than a V6 Durango

Don't you make a mid-life crisis post every 3 months about how you're gonna sell your "fun cars"?

Congrats. Better than most DD's on here...including mine. lol
