Moto-Brian
Getting my CCW thingy and wanted to get opinions on what is a good choice firearm for carry/conceal...I have an XD.45 for the car and wanted something on person. The thing is that I REALLY like the XD 3" 9mm, but it is a tad bulky to conceal.Any opinions? I hate purse feeling pistols...
Disclaimer
I hear a lot of people like the Ruger LCP .380 Auto, but I can't personally recommend it since I've only held one, not shot one.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5DrJMW1qAIFeatherweight, economical, and easily concealable. It's no .40 or .45, but the .380 cal will get the job done in a pinch.

Likwid
Shit' date=' I wouldn't go near a high school nowadays without a pistol strapped to my hip. Fuck that. Those kids are crazy. [/quote']I won't go anywhere without a pistol strapped to my hip... this whole country is crazy! I don't see the harm in carrying... the worst case is you never have to use it and your belt gets stretched, assuming you aren't carrying in an CPZ why NOT take your gun? bigbluebird
on a serious note i have been looking at the walther pps narrow frame single stack .40 sw http://www.waltheramerica.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=13152&storeId=10002&productId=77464&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=44304&isFirearm=Ybut is expensive as good hooker and blow
InyaAzz
See if the shop has a demo, and take it to the range. Ask yourself (after all other things like size and comfort are taken into consideration) whether you can fire that firearm accurately in a stressful situation. If you're having a hard time staying on target at the range, keep looking. If it were me, I'd stay away from any high caliber firearm with an extremely chopped barrel, unless you were very familiar with it. Just my opinion. Anything in the .40 + area with a barrel long enough to make it easier to keep the firearm on target, is going to be very difficult to conceal in warmer weather. blake1221
Kel-tec PF-9 Made in FL, good shooting gun, light and easy to hide. I got mine for 170 out the door.
Likwid
...because a school is a CPZ. That was my point. Not for you if all your doing is picking up your kiddo. As long as you don't get out of the car you're allowed. I can't pull into the parking lot.
Looney
I started out with a Springfield XD .40, and switched to a Glock 27. I also added a mag. extension for better grip and that added one more round.

ltsrunm
I carry a Bersa 380 on my ankle and on occasion a Glock model 22 in a should strap. Bersa is a little big on the ankle IMO, but i like it.
Likwid
It's mounted internallyHave you had any issues with calibration? I've been told the captive spring lasers for XD tend to go off-center very easily....But everyone raves about Crimson Trace
InyaAzz
^ Last time I was at the range, I noticed it might be off. I don't really use it but maybe once or twice while I'm there, just to make sure it's on point. BUT I had went through 100 rounds before I checked and I had hand fatigue...so it may have been me.
