Went out on a first of the year ride with about 20 other guys n gals. Wasn't that bad out at all. If its over 30 I'll ride

below 30 and I have to make the trips less than 30 mins and the stops longer to make sure I don't get frostbite

I rode to work yesterday. I have dual sport tires on my scooter with a few hundred ice studs. No traction issues at all.

Sorry - ice is a deal-breaker. Ysterday I was slipping all over the place on the morning commute - patches of ice everywhere. I can dow 30f dry, but ice makes me poop myself.

I rode to work last winter when it was 28... But it wasn't at night and it wasn't snowing! Oh, and at least I had the sense to wear a helmet.

I picked up some waterproof warm gloves, I plan on riding in to work after my road gets salted... until then i'm on my stupid bicycle. lol.

i think after i get my bike all prettied up, i'm going to be much more selective about road conditions when i ride. i'll still commute in summer, but spring/fall, i might not delve into the 20's or wet 30's like i did this fall.
