I should be able to do a ride during a weekend as long as it doesn't take forever. Got heated gear and shit. Gixxus, you should get a diavel, it's the only cruiser like bike that is super comfy, light and fast as fuuuuuuck. Also cause I don't want to be the only moron who got suckered into buying a diavel1 point

I stumbled upon the forum here and figured I come check it out. I grew up like a lot of other people riding dirt bikes. I had a YZF600R back in the mid to late 90s. I don't know how many times I had my motorcycle temps, but for some reason or another I never got my endorsement until 2018. Life got in the way and I ended up being out of Motorcycles for a good 15 years at least, but the addiction that laid dormant has come back strong. Shortly after I got my endorsement I went and bought a 2018 Yamaha MT09 in September of that year. I have since put on about 9,500 miles. I love to carve the twisties and like to put on the miles. Looking forward to meeting some like minded folks with whom I can share joy of the ride.1 point

Hi All, My name is Doug Schaefferkoetter and I live in Logan OH. It is 13 miles from Old Mans Cave state park where the riding is scenic and roads are good. I ride a 2014 HDFLHTKI ultra limited. If your down my way, feel free to stop by (I am the only Schaefferkoetter in the Great State of OH) and let me know about event going on.1 point

Ah, the good ol days. I remember that particular ride @durk. When I first started leading group rides I was getting the biggest bite of the entire group since it was the most common pace. Couple of those Epic Rides in taught us to keep group size down to 10 between me and my sweep. Much easier to manage, and less of a hassle to turn 10 riders around when I'd blow past a route change LOL.1 point

I think I almost did the same thing at the first Epic ride I came to. I had never actually even rode in a group so I figured I’d start off in the medium group. When I arrived there were like 20 guys in medium and only @Helmutt to lead. I started looking around to find a smaller group and I spotted a smaller group with a VFR (pretty sure it was Tpoppa). I said I can go with this group, but the looks I got from that group and others told me to just stay in the large group. Definitely a good thing I did. No way I would have kept pace with them.1 point

Only time I have had issues with suppressor blow back is on full auto. Never really noticed any with standard single fire shooting.1 point

Yea, a long long time ago. Unknowingly jumped in essentially a CORE ride. I just rode my own ride. There was waiting, but no one ever left me for dead. Then we broke off and I headed back north. That really was the whole beginning of me wanting to become a more competent rider. Jerry and Gasser swept me. A day I'll never forget. They shoulda sent Sam home too, he ate shit just after we broke off I believe. I like to believe I'd be alright now Ah see you remember.1 point

My apologies. I didn't realize we were in the funny picture thread, we have shifted to politics. Let's do that in the politics or gun forums. This thread is kind of holy ground. Thread cleaned of guns and politics, feel free to repost that stuff in those area's. There is a bit of a back story on this thread that many don't know. We will keep this one on topic out of respect for that.1 point

I haven’t done anything to my bike or even rode it this year. Been being good and staying home. Done with that shit. Need to put the battery in her and change the oil and front pads.1 point

No, they did not send me home mid-ride. I don't think I made them wait to long for the most part.1 point

250 miles on the Voyager. I believe the BMW has spoiled me. That Kaw rides like a jackhammer if the road isn't perfectly paved. Fucking ruined me, you dirty Krauts.1 point

Yes. It is YOUR driveway. You owe him zero explanation. You owe him zero BBQ invites. You owe him zero beers. What you DO owe him is a firm position of your expectations. Expecting him to accommodate you without telling him what those expectations are is unfair. Just know that all you do owe him is a firm "No. You may not use my driveway." You do not owe him what, who, how, why or when. You only owe him an answer. I learned a few things in the past few years. One of them is "'No.' is a complete sentence."1 point
