  1. Welcome from N. Ridgeville.
  2. I'll confirm a couple days before the day.
  3. If the weather is good (Above 40 & not raining) on Saturday I will be leaving Circle K at the intersection of routes 82 & 83 (just south of N. Ridgeville) at 8:30 AM. Anybody that cares to ride along is welcome. This would make Millersburg (Speedway) at 9:30/9:45 . I plan on taking 83 to Coshocton then 541/79 to Newark. If Saturday gets rained out I can't go on Sunday.
  4. I showed up at one of these type rides wearing Kevlar reinforced jeans & mesh jacket one time. I was definitely feeling underdressed once the pace picked up. Better to overdress I say now.
  5. Very sorry about the loss of your friend.
  6. I ride the 250 in rush hour on 480/ & I71 every day. Have I become accustomed/ desensitized to bad driving? You bet.
  7. ^This is a good weekend for me to not ride.
  8. Fatal crash in the parking lot of qsl. That's an outrage. Sounds like somebody needs to be sued. Couldn't have been the riders fault.
  9. I will attend on the 6th. Can't on the 7th. Hope the weather is good.
  10. Welcome to OR. Too many obligations & not enough riding for me this season. I hope to free up some time to ride next month. That little excursion out of McConnelsville with you guys was fun.
  11. Welcome to the forum. Athens is a nice locale. I graduated from OU about 3 decades ago & enjoyed my time there a lot.
  12. The WV roads were generally in better shape than the OH roads. A lot more paved shoulders. A lot less chip seal. ODOT should take a lesson from WV.
  13. We ran WV last weekend. Recommended roads include 16, 34, 60 (partial near Hawks Nest State Park), 39 (partial) 291 (partial), 15, & 20. Sidenote; On the way down we hit up Dalzell road (Washington County road #15 (OH) & the pavement was suprisingly clean & the road was amazingly twisty. On the way back we took some gravel roads (the west end of OH SR 676 out of Marietta, & SR 555 North. Both of these roads were utter Crap in many places.
  14. Ditto on the lube brand & mileage. Also, I never clean my chain with anything other than a thick spray of the lube then a rag as not to risk o-ring damage.
  15. I think I saw your group out on 555 headed south yesterday. I was headed north on a yellow cbr with my brother & nephew following on a vstrom & buell respectively. Glad you had a good ride. It sure would be nice if they would put some real pavement on 555 though.
  16. ...and if you ride 339,when you get to Dexter City take 821 south for about 6 miles and look for Dalzell Rd on the left.It will take you over to 565,turn right and 565 will take you to 260 where you can turn right and head south.Dalzell Rd is a "new to me" road this year and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites.Ten miles of endless hilltop curves on good pavement. Also some good forest sections. When you get to the county line at Lebanon the pavement turns for the worse, but by then you are only one mile from 565. We took Dalzell road today & it was great. (The dry parts anyhow).
  17. Way to go Doc! Looks like you had some fun yesterday.
  18. I would love to head south & carve some corners on my 250. The reason I don't is that it's hard to carve a corner when I'm stuck behind a Chevy Cavalier or such. I've taken my wife's Ducati Monster 696 & it had sufficient passing power. I assume a SV650 would be similar. I don't think I would opt for less power than this. Also, fuel injection is a good thing.
  19. "I've never been there, they tell me it's nice."
  20. Sounds tempting except that I have a 3 day sport tour of WV next weekend & I've got carpet to install beforehand.
  21. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Mentor Headlands beach. Lola Bistro.
  22. Welcome to this crazy forum.

You're too easy. For all I know you are part of the 10% that went just to watch the lemmings. Thicken up that skin a bit (but don't grow any fur). That is all.

Sorry I offended you by calling you a lemming Tonik. Just my personal opinion.

I just appreciate good engineering. When form starts superseding function things start getting ugly in the eye of this beholder. Elitist & proud of it.
