  1. If camera matters hands down go pixel 2 or note 8.
  2. If you're already heavily in the apple space, why go over to android? For reference, I have never had an iphone and my next phone will probably be a galaxy s8+ or a pixel 2, though leaning towards a galaxy. The pixel 2 has the same specs but is smaller with a worse display for about the same amount of money; the camera is better, that's about it. It also lacks a headphone jack. Google was originally going with the snapdragon 836 processor with the Pixel 2 but I guess it wasn't ready so they settled on the 835 which is the exact processor Samsung used in the S8/Note8. I badly need a new phone (Samsung Note 3 right now!) but I'm trying to hold off until black Friday to see what Samsung does with pricing to compete with the iPhone8/Pixel 2 launches.
  3. Hey, they CBR has no rider assist nonsense. It's man-mode.
  4. $99/day STT at little Talladega Thanksgiving weekend if anybody is in the area. Considering going since I'll be in Atlanta that Wednesday-Friday. http://talladegagp.com/ https://www.sportbiketracktime.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=840
  5. Pointing at random shit like @Tonik ? I like that game. As far as insurance goes, I have no idea how rates are affected by tickets/accidents/etc. I've been very fortunate in that regard.
  6. I mean... I spent $528 on track days this year (including fuel for the bikes). I'd hate to think how much getting a ticket would jack up my insurance premiums and for how long. /shrug
  7. I'm pretty sure "riding schools" are covered by insurance. Not sure about orgs like N2/STT and whether or not they count as schools/rider education or are just seen as track days/racing. I guess I should call progressive and see what they say at some point. It's only like $60/month to fully insure the CBR and Street Triple and both are used on the street, though the CBR probably won't see much use on Ohio roads. One of the biggest reasons I got a track bike in the first place was I wanted something that wouldn't cost me my ass if/when I crashed. I didn't want to deal with repairing my street bike and take the resale hit once I decided to sell it if it had a rebuild/salvage title.
  8. Yeah, looking for one already set up for OMRL/pavement but willing to look at dirt setup if the price is low enough that I don't go over my budget buying the street conversion parts.
  9. XR sold out from under me, may be in for this ride.
  10. it wouldn't let me continue without picking 3. the button greyed out and red text popped up and told me to select more things.
  11. So as of right now I think I'll be heading down the weekend before you all arrive (16th or 17th), stay through that Friday and then head down to my sister's wedding in Suches the evening of the 22nd. Anyone else planning on making a week-long trip out of it? I may stay after the wedding for a bit too depending on how much time I can finagle from work.
  12. Almost made it to the end but I barely use social media and you have to pick 3 so... Sorry. Also, I'm guessing A.D. Farrow paid to have students work on marketing for them for some letter grades...Kinda meh.
  13. Yeah but what oil should be used to coat the allen socket torque impact wrench?
  14. I'm heading down to Hamilton to see a man about a 100cc horse.
  15. Bummer. Next year we'll pick things up where we left off in September. Until then, time to start thinking about my (hopefully) new XR100.
  16. what

    Birthday

    Happy B-day.
  17. I would suggest trying out the track before making any decisions. It's a totally different animal from street riding, with different goals and priorities.
  18. Loaded up, will check on weather in the morning. Supposed to rain until 9am or so... not optimistic but who knows. Im going to call it for myself. Weather saying 50-60% chance up through 2pm. If anyone ends up going hope you have a good time and stay safe!
  19. There are tracks in Florida. Trailering the bike 10 hours north will also get you up to deal's gap. Ultimately it's a decision you have to make yourself. How much is your happiness worth to you? Does riding make you happy? Does it help relieve stress? Would you be able to use the extra money/status from taking a job somewhere without twisty roads and turn it into something beneficial to your mental health and physical well-being? People are right, riding does get into your blood, it is something that you can never really quit. That said, you can take breaks, explore new interests or invest your time into other things. You'll always have riding to come back to when you want. I'm not trying to talk you into stopping riding Nivin, I'm trying to provide the other side of the argument beyond "stop being a pussy and keep riding" that you're likely to get here.
  20. Not specifically riding but I think everybody has burnout. If you take a break for a while and then get the itch again, you can pick up a bike no problem, you of all people know how to buy them. You could even hang onto the bike and ride it when the inclination hits. If you hardly end up riding, the insurance on a street triple is only like $20-30/month. It would be a $300/year backup-happiness plan.
  21. I think I'll show up a bit later in the morning myself depending on what the weather says around 5pm today.
  22. why are you hitting your toilet?
